fps dropping..

Well as you al know i have a complete new install.

Now i have my standard 100 fps back.

But there is one problem and i dunno how to fix it or how it comes.
Now i hope some of you knows the answer.

The following is going on:

When i am playing i have 100 fps but sometimes my fps are dropping to 10 or even lower for 10/15 sec. (that can or happens on any time any map)

I thought in the first place i or someone else was lagging but then i took al look at my fps and saw it happend because of that....


Does someone know what to do?

I have it since the latest updates. CS taking of for 2-3 seconds. I've did a Google search and all but couldn't find a thing.
Survivor of LAN V, VI, VIII, IX, X, XII, XIV, XVI, XVIII, XX, XXIV, XXX, XXXII, XXXIV and XXXVI so far...

you really have it when you are playing?

or just when you start a game?

Ice, you don't happen to use a keyboard with on screen display? Reason I ask is I use the Logitech keyboard and when I press the volume button up or down a screen display show this graphically, and my fps drops to about 10fps.  So I disabled it.

If you have an input device with graphical output, you need to disable the on screen display.

yeah i have one.

But that should be very strange because normally everything went k. But since the last update just like duvel said we have probs with fps dropping on different times.


But i can try it.

Nope also that doesn't work.


With that i had to problems: the fps and that i had no F1/F12 buttons had. :blink:

Now it is really crazy....


When i start a game i start with 14 fps then i have to exit the game and start up from scrap. To get 60 fps max.

Then i still have the problem that my fps are dropping on different times..... :(







I know i play crap the last 2 weeks but this problem makes sure i can't play well


Does someone know this answer or should i reinstall steam again.
Or wait 2 more weeks because then i get my new system. :)
