i just bee out and bought the doom - doom 2 -final doom   trilogy!!!!!!

also got a doom 3 preview disk. havnt seen it yet, decided to play the original 1st then 2 them final, see how its progressed with the original not even having the options to change controls!!!!!! and no mouse look!!!!

Get yourself one of the doom engine mods (jdoom, for example, which also has support for models to replace Doom's sprites and high-res texture packs). It gives you mouselook and opengl rendering, making it all much more playable and easier on the eye. :)

When I reinstalled Doom a while back I couldn't believe I once played it with a joystick - how times have changed, eh?

nice one. ill try them, but its so damn easy evewn using the crap keys

Doom3 looks and plays well be nice when it comes out.
