X-bit have a good, if a little lengthy, article on flat panels, their differences and the things you need to know before you part with your hard earned cash.  Well worth the investment of time if you are interested in buying one for the first time or upgrading to a better one.

Read it here.

Nice article - thanks.

Having seen a couple of the at the LAN I was most impressed with the way they handled the graphics of CS and BF. I always thought the response time was too slow but no longer it seems.

Hopefully I'll have one by the next LAN - carrying that 21" beast around almost gave me a hernia   :D

Yeah I used to lug a 19"'er around (oh er missus, wait for Benny's response  ;)  )
Then I got this cheapo 17" LCD and it's brilliant. One dead pixle but you don't really notice 1 in 786423.   .

Trouble is now they are doing them even cheaper, £175 inc vat   .
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.
