bloody WU upload problems again.

Since almost te beginning ive been plagued with a crappy problem while trying to upload my work units. My connection just dies after attmepting to send WUs back. My connection appears to be active but i cant access any sites or ping anything.

As I have isdn I and can get 2 connections (128K) and I got around the above by connecting at 64k, starting fah, which would kill my connection, then I would conect another 64k and upload the WU. Ive no idea why this worked but it did.

Sadly since the LAN where I disabled my ISDN card ive not been able to get the card to make a second connection. This is with a complete re-install of the drivers.

Another problem is that i recently changed my fah program to 2 console versions running as services. So i have problems trying to changed the settings.

Anyway, im taking my work folders to another machine to morrow to cash in 8 WU.

Hopefuly when i get my ass to adsl with this funky provider i will cure this curse

But till then my WU have slowed down. Still folding/still downloading work units, just not updatng them very often.

Jamoe - if you want a different ISDN card I can throw you mine as I no longer have ISDN.  It was working perfectly when last connected to ISDN.  PM me if it will help.  The model is the original BT one (Fritz drivers).

cheers TL, but im hoping ADSL isnt too far away. I appreciate the offer (i think u offered ti at the LAN  :blush:  should have nabbed it then)

im gonna get on to Hi-Velocity this week

i seemed to have kept up my folding rate through other borgs so it hasnt been bad, just needed to vent .
