Rumours abound on various CS communities that Counter-Strike 1.6 will be "STEAM only".

Seeing as STEAM is completely crap for 56k'ers, ie me, does this mean my CS days will come to end with the release of the next patch?

i have seen this as well.
i must admit that i dont totaly understand what it is, is it a similar to streaming video???????
