motd pic help

ive just rented a server from jolt for the month - and when i was making changes to the server i came accross the motd! ive change the wording for it but dont know how to get a background picture to be displayed when u log on and see the motd screen - can any1 help me with this 1 please - thanks

I think I understand....

edit motd.txt to something like this:

Code Select Expand

<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT=".3; URL=http://www.mywebserver.com/motd.html">
Put an actual webpage at http://www.mywebserver.com/motd.html with the MOTD info you want to display.

When people connect, it will force forward to your webpage and be displayed.  You'll have to play around with the HTML to get something that fits comfortably in the MOTD window.  Mine works, but I don't know the specific dimensions, only that I got it to work.

Yes it was your first post. Most people make their first post in the Hi I'm new here forum and hang around to get the feel for the place.

Your first post is regarding a server you run on Jolt so you thought you would post in the dMw forum to get some help for it?
