Right - unbelievers - was talking about the whole UAV thing in another forum, and thankfully another - very enlightened - Dutch player came back with the following responce:

Quotewell then Ive got another 1. When UFO;s supposubly land in a field at night, they leave a circle, dunno what its caled in english cause im from the netherlands. well ive seen 1 of those circles in the games from a blackhawk! - 1PARA-Razgriz

While this doesn't actually confirm my sightings it does suggest that there are unexplained phenomina going on in BF2!

Sorry for digging up an old topic, but I suddenly remembered an incident that happened to me a few years back which I didn't pay that much attention to at the time, but in the light of Ranger's discoveries, I see the whole thing is connected in a wicked way...

It was during my vacation in Portugal in 2002 in a little town called Faro on the Algarve coast. My girlfriend and I had to sleep on the roof of a building because all the proper rooms was taken (don't worry, the roof was flat so we didn't fall off). It only cost us â,¬ 12, which is cheap enough if you like sleeping on a roof, I guess.
While laying there staring at the stars, enjoying the warm summernight, I suddenly saw a triangle shaped silhuette against the sky. I mean a really big triangle, big enough that it blocked the light from stars. At the time I just thought 'wow, that's a huge triangle' and fell asleep, but now, given Rangers... erhm... findings, I suspect that there was something more sinister about that triangle. The triangle may have been a prototype, but what if they decided to disguise it as something less conspicious, say a... UAV...?!?

Perhaps EA and Dice have come up with some sort of portal between our dimension and the pixel world known as Battlefield 2, thereby enabling the employees (or... army   ) of EA to infiltrate millions of computers worldwide? It would also explain the crop circles on Zatar Wetlands, although I don't know exactly why the UAV would leave precisely those marks...

Don't you see it, guys? Guys? Hello?!? Hey, come back!

Well, actually I think I lay awake for at least 5 minutes before falling asleep. It'd been a tough day... ;) Besides, I didn't know if Portugal had a Mulder & Scully equivalent, let alone how to get to them in the middle of the night, so I just left it at that...  :)

And I don't think sleeping on the roof is the weirdest thing they (the aliens) would discover humans to be capable of...
