aye, so it's welcome Beeny as a new CS Game Admin and for the purposes of hierarchy he is a senior CS game admin.  Wondered if I had missed some whole dMw rank redsign.

Yup, I guess that would be clearest way of putting it. :)

Sorry, that's probably me, not sure how/were/when it started.  It was just a way of differentiating between a Junior/Public Admin and a Full blown admin with RCON access.  So in Whitey land it was Junior admin -> Senior Admin -> Head Admins. No rank redesign just a name.

I will henceforth change this to simply CS Admin or Public Admin.

Trinidex for Bravo please.  There's been a big difference in his use of comms recently and he's always played good TCS.

Bob has asked me to put him up for Charlie membership, and i think he will be a good addition to the crew. Id hereby like to support his application and recommend him for Charlie consideration by you.

Cheers,
Bastet
I'd whole-heartedly support Bobg's application for Charlie.

As he's not a regular CS player I don't know him very well other than his forum posts (which are good). Out of curiosity, what is the criteria for someone being eligible for Charlie when they don't play CS?

The original structure of the community led to all ranks being with reference to CS.  As CS is now only one part of what we enjoy here then so it follows that Charlie is not a CS only rank any more.  In fact, it is anomalous and will in due course be replaced by a different structure to refelct the multi-game nature of the community.  For the time being though Charlie represents almost a long-service or recognition of value to the community.  It's sort of like Bravo being able to play CS for dMw in matches,  the barriers are breaking down.

For background, Bob is an officer in SOG, international traveller to our LAN parties, also plays on our CS server (ok, not regular, but he often turns up when me, Ele, Oth or Bastet are there) and is one of the people who venture outside the SOG world into the wider dMw world - his 2,904 forum posts sort of demonstrate that!

The fella won the 'Helping Hand' award at last Autumn's LAN for building bridges and forging links between SoG and dMw amongst other things.

I think he's among those responsible for the integration of the SoG'ers into other areas of the forum and possibly deserves some recognition of that fact (even though he is misguided by not playing CS). He's also a real nice fella to boot.

I have played CS with bob a few times and my opinion of him based on that plus the other info that TL and Pen have provided would make me say that he is a definite charlie (and I mean that in the nicest possible way folks)

I do think this is something we need to do.
My concern is that we have strict guideline for Charlie as far as CS is concerned and it may send mixed messages if we have members of Charlie who don't really play CS, but have the odd game, playing in a way we would not accept from a CS Charlie member.  In Bobs case I'm sure this won't be the case (I have played with him a few times), but it could be in future.

TeaLeaf

Aye, it's something Oldie and I will get our heads around again ASAP.
