...and you said "is all this effort worth it?" ?

Guess it was. :)

Anyway, to drag it back off topic again which should I buy, the Logitech ES as mentioned by Ron or the more expensive Logitech MOMO? (Scan have it at about £68 and I get free postage from Scan)

If you really want to get the best get one of these That's about the best price I've seen. Yes I know it says PS2 but it's for pc as well.

Just waiting for the wheel and the software to arrive and I'll give it a go.

ahh, you broke the first rule of internet shopping. Once you've purchased an item. Stop looking! That way you'll never find a cheaper deal :P

Jeez! There's hardly an excuse for not having a DFP now. I paid £100 + P&P last year. Or was it the year before?  :(

Wheel arrived today.

OK What software do I need to download from the Logitech site to run this PS2 wheel on a PC or does it have a CD with drivers (box is in boot of car and it's raining so I'm not going to car park to see whats in it)

Thulsa Doom

Mine arrived a few days ago.  First attempt to run GTL resulted in it crashing my PC.
Patched with latest GTL patch and runs OK now but aint had time to use the wheel yet (what with watching 24, playing CZ, stares from wife making me feel guilty) :(

You don't need any software to get it running. Just plug it in. However, the best program to supplement it with is the Logitech Gaming Software which you can get here

For GTL intro se my guide here
