Officers leave too. Addy, Irulan,Old guild queen (who was he again , Angem is his nick for MSN :/ ). I don't particulary want to keep Legandaries the officers ranks. If we go with topp DKP on prefered class, then we are giving it to a player who has been in the guild and raided for a LONG time and is thus a dedicated member. He has probably had chanses to leave guild and go to another guild (Anything ,Rightious, Shadow Council, Shadowrunner clan,CoC).

We are officers in SoG  of free will , we have benefitts allready. And we do it cause  we like to run/organise and stuff. Let us not be to eager to fill ouor own slotts cause we dont trust others. It wil only make them distrust uss.

If I was a member and heard that the officers were gonna decide who got the legendaries off the cuff , and gave them to the officers. then /gquit would not be far off . Sure I want itemz (the nice ones pls) but not at the cost of beeing unfair.Like when the green dragonscale cloak dropped I wanted it but wanted to winn the roll rather then ninja it cos I was officer or MT1.


And a for the INSANE grinding , the guild bank could help out for a DKP cost, getting the item into play fast is in the guilds interests.

We're talking about Officers choosing who gets what item. Not that a Officer will get the legendary.

And we discussed this a long time ago and then we came to 2 choices:

Officer's choice of who gets it - No DKP cost.
Regular DKP system decides - DKP cost.

Imo legendary's shouldn't cost at all and that we should choose who gets it out of those who want it.
I really REALLY think they shouldn't cost anything if we choose who gets them.

I don't recall this chat and I have to say I believe a valid third way exists:

Let people whisper if they want, but the Officers retain discretion to appoint a particular weapon to class.  If we as Officers choose a class or classes for the weapon then we should go by the DKP list as to who gets it.  Top one from class should get lucky.

Well, i tend to disagree with the strategy that we wanna give legendary's to other people than the officers. Yes it may seem arrogant, but i still feel that its the only really insurance we have that people will stay and fight in the guild rather than just change to another guild. We saw it with Shahin, Dilijna etc, and for that specific reason i dont trust anyone but the officers to have enough guild feeling and stay along in both the good and the bad times. I've been pretty dissapointed with certain persons earlier.

I will (as usual) stand by the decision made, and if we decide that we appoint a specific person to get a specfic legendary item, i feel that we should make a list of possible drops, and a list of the class we expect that will use that item for the best possible way. It would be even better to name the person, but persons change and respecc etc, so i would more like to see a specfic item linked with a specfic class, so when the day arise, we will have a pretty decent idea about who gets this item... officer or not. I dont wanna spend time discussing the things, we already can discuss now.

Yes its correct that we also saw officers leave, but still its a lot more seldom than seeing the regular members leave. We have a responsobility in the guild to make the guild run best possible, and therefore we need to appoint the things we get to the best persons available, and in my opinion its the officers.

The discussion was a long time ago TL, even before you became Officer.

I must disagree on officers being the best choice for Legendarys. As Ragnarh said there's lots of officers that have left the guild and there will probably be more. I trust some of the members just as much and sometimes more then the officers.
