The current Guardian/Defender/Soldier system has now been established for some considerable time and has therefore had more than sufficient chance to settle properly.  With the advent of RG2 the Officers have been busy ensuring that the correct support has been available to both RG1 and RG2.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
In recent weeks we have seen some raids short of sufficient members, in particular in RG1.  For example, we had only 27 members for the Onyxia and Molten Core RG1 raid run last night (despite this they still cleared to Golemagg).

Therefore, now that things are stabilising in RG2 and RG2 attendance generally good the Officers will be turning their focus over the next few weeks to Guardians and whether or not Guardian members are meeting their obligations as a Guardian, especially with respect to attendance.

Any raid needs regular attendance across all classes to progress and this is doubly so in BWL with RG1.  If at the end of the review period we see a class need for RG1 then we will ask members not meeting the requirements to either improve their attendance or step down to Defender rank to allow a more commited member to support RG1 properly.

We do not wish to recruit heavily or at all to fill gaps, we believe we have enough members to meet our two raid groups' requirements, but we need the support of members to achieve these goals.  This advance warning of our intention to monitor and review attendance should be a wake up call to all Guardians.

We look forward to seeing you at the next raid!

The Officers.

As I agree on Bastet....RG2 get helped very good by RG1, therefor it is even more important that more people will apply for class leader or even a raid leader @ RG2. As I appr. all the effort from the officers maybe we could let some people go with RG1 for a change. If the difference between RG1 en RG2 is 14 members...perhaps there could go like 3 or maybe even 4 to RG1.  And ofc it is logical that people with RL issue cannot come. I did all my school exams so easy for me to say I'll be there. But as stated somewhere earlier on the forum....it is a returning event cause exams or work schedules will return. I agree on Sinap that it is not that people are getting fed up... I speak for myself that I like every instance...but I'm not the senior that guardians are. If needed and when I'm online and have the time I'm willing to help Rg1 out any time. It's up to the officers to decide how and if.

And I would like to use this moment for saying the RG1 did a hell of a job. Even with less people they still were faster and that's a big compliment. GJ RG1

And Lunares......Hopefully you'll get your last reputation fast!!!

Happy raiding all!  :D

If it's exams then we will soon find out from those affected parties the duration and extent of the disruption to the raid pattern these will cause.  On the other hand, if nobody posts int he vacation/absence thread then imo we have to assume otherwise.  All Bastet's post says is that we will MONITOR the situation and then come back and speak to people about it, making changes if things do not improve.  Nothing unreasonable about that AFAIAA.

40 -Ratatosk does not equal 27.  So I think it is safe to say it is not you.  It is a general problem at the moment which may solve itself as a result of Bastet's post.

I try my hardest to be at every raid that I can, and I do pretty well however as I have mentioned before I do work in the evenings 3 days out of every 9. If I didnt I would be here pretty much 24/7 lol.

I do think luna and mene's idea of the sign up site for AQ/ZG is maybe something that can be looked at for RG1 main raids. Not so much as committing to be at that raid (as guardians you are already commited) but to indicate numbers who will be able to play for that instance.

For example, as my work is as it is, i may be able to do MC thursday and BWL Sunday  but chances are that I wouldnt make tuesday, and this pattern varies as the weeks goes on.

However with a similar 'sign on' web page you could see quite clearly who will be there on a perticular night.

I am sure other people have other various reasons for not being at raids and I am purly using my work as an example.
