I think 42 is the absolute maximum really and that'd be a push.

If you look at the attached plan you've got 6 per side on the long tables - really they should be 5 to give people a chance to space out. - that's like 36 people (or 42 with 6 per side).

44 places is correct.
Pen did the aranging last LAN for the seatingplan and he sended the plan to me.
Maybe a few more places could be aranged if ever needed but what would be handy then is I could get the measurements of the room and the size of the tables and so so I could make a scaled floorplan.
But then again, you'd want some space around you when you play.
All those sweaty men in a room and playing games... :dribble:  ;)

I made the original plan of 44 and the plan was to scale with regard the room, window locations and table dimensions. Also all availible tables were used.

44 is the maximum.

The servers previously didnt require 4 tables.

DuVeL

Thanks for the answer Mick, I didn't knew it was up to scale allready!

There is no way that you can be comfortable on just 1/2 a table each. Perfect space is to have 3 ppl to ever 2 tables that little extra space make so much diffrence

Yes you're right Smite, an extra two places can be gained from the servers as necessary giving 44 people.

The original plan (nice work btw!) did have two more chairs on the server table.

PS - EDIT - ABOVE PLAN UPDATED

I have a feeling that quite a few people will bring steering wheels and pedals next time. In combination with all the other stuff it will for sure take up the space.

Could you just place me a bit further away from NF and DA - all that "fugging" going on over there made me nervous   :narnar:

Maybe a good Git Spot behind the door, other than that it looks like a fairly open map.
Small though, don't see any hossies or bomb sites. :P

It is a case of do we want the maximum people to attend or to have more than enough room.

I believe that half a table was slightly cramped but not a problem. It worked for the very first LAN at that venue i can't see it being a problem again.

I will hopefully have a much lighter monitor next time so wont take up so much space :D
Seeing as Squ0nk may inherit my old one he will :P

Yeah, v. good point.

I think the problem used to be more as everyone have huge CRT's. Now with LCD's the space issue should hopefully be ameliorated somewhat.

do we have any dates for the lan yet?

If you don't want me to come make it the first full weekend in October.  :(

Otherwise any of the others should be OK. :dribble:
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.
