Too bad, never mind. Sounds like a good scrap though. Nice new tracks tonight though  :D  Spa, ...er Silverstein? er....and "Suzuka!!!!"   Hope there's enough peeps on to make good.

Penfold

Nice to have a couple of good laps last night  :P

I actually managed to stay with the pack for a whole lap which pleased me immensely  :D

Thanks, also, for the tweaking of the settings. I think that should make a big difference to the control. When I get a minute I may write up what you guys said and get it pinned here as it's worthwhile for any new bods.

Cheers

Nice to see you again Göran. Sorry about all the messing about last night, we're usually a little more organised than that. Glitches seem to be sorted out now and our server is being seen in the lobby, so back to normal(?)

i c i have the member number 1294....That was the year when Roger Bacon died....not really my fault though...i think. It was also the year when the capital of Norway, Oslo, was founded if i remember it right, im not to blame there either  :P

Anyway, yes was great fun and the struggle u mentioned Ron was no problem at all :-)

Edit: On second thought i think the good old Mr Bacon died in the year of 1292...lucky for me then  8)

I don't know what struggle you were refering to but the one I meant was the one with the lobby being down. I've dug around to find a way of connecting via direct IP but this little entry is all I can come up with. Having said that, we did have races at the LAN so perhaps some network guru can come up with an answer.

Lobby worked fine with the rest of us I think? We chatted there while the server was down...?

Oh? Not what you meant? Really? I did? Oops. Sorry about that. I'll get my coat  :getmecoat: (okay okay, had to try it...)

The GTL servers are still down. Neither dMw, nor my own server are able to broadcast in lobby.

Ron and I tested that client software that sort of enables LAN over WAN and it works. Security-wise it seems they are okay, but dunno for sure. But.. I don't mind hosting a server if people are in the mood for GTL - only annoyance is the needed client. It is fairly simple though.

I am headed for Ron's LFS server, up and running atm. Cu there?

Edit: Easiest way is - Go to "join specific server" enter server name "Dead Men Racing", usual password

(AR)Göran

the GTL server is up online again :-)
