Crafting - Dark Iron Boots

Well, arguably we do have enough FR, so we would always test the market with the +16 Sta pair? Arguably the tanks have enough FR already, but as Ragnarh wanted I'd still ask Gorion. That +sta only pair might be good for AH though.......

I asked Gorion and his response was "I don't really need them unless you come up with the DI boots with the +FR stats". He reasons that if he got the DI Boots with +FR then he could add another 60-70 Sta as it would allow him to use better tanking trinks/rings etc whilst maintaining his FR stats.

So I guess we have at least one pair, possibly 2 pairs to AH now.

Here's how its gonna play out. Im sending the +Stam to TL to test the market, then im sending the other pairs to Gorion and Ragnarh.

When i have the results of the TL transfer, then im gonna ask Vargen to post whatever mats we have left to evaluate if we want to create more boots and selling them on the AH to make topdollar

Np, they're with Guidybankee now. I'll AH them tonight. Out of interest I did a shout in IF from Teaelle and immediately got a couple of whispers, but none at the level needed, they were all chancing their arm. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

Well there has been some dark iron items on the AH before, they seam to be going for a high 100s to just over 1k in gold. so it shouldnt go at all badly

might need to get some of that stuff on sok too, tanking beyond garr on 40 FR isnt too swell lol

The boots are unique since it requires Exhalted to get the Plans to make them, and thats what i want to use to give us some money.

Fine by me, Sokhar is being used to tank many places and can surely use the FR. Get Vargen to log in and send the required mats to create some DI Stuff for you, and then we can make a crafting run. I want to create some more DI boots as well for selling and other tanks, and also if i can be lucky and get the extra FR boots created, that would be massive for our tanks. That +58FR on 1 item

i can also make most the items myselfs (with exception of the boots) and i know a lot of guilds dont go beyond honored, so both the pants and the boots are fairly rare to find.

First auction did not sell, I put them back on yesterday morning for a slightly lower price, but so will not know if they sold until I get back tonight as the auction will have finished about now.

It did however prompt a crafting enquiry which will pay us 200g (someone wants some and has all the mats). I forward the enquiry to you Padding using ingame mail.

Yeah i already talked to him, and im probably gonna go make them with him later this week. That kind of service is ok, but i dont really wanna spend to much time on it, since it takes 2 hours to complete a run like that, and my time is too precious.

Its ok, since the guild makes some money on it, but i cant always just run down to the forge and make the required boots.

Yep, I appreciate the problem with time and hope we'd be able to help, or better still clear the way with a bona fide run and then invite you into the party to just 'run through'. I'm not trying to 'sell' the Padding crafting service, he just happened to whisper and ask, it would be down to you if you have the time.

Maybe one of the conditions is that the person who wants them has to organise a run into BRD themselves and clear the way, ready for you to be invited once the way is clear? That way the use of your time is minimised?

as long as the mats are in bars and not ore you can make a crafting run in about 15 min w/ 2-3 ppl (killing exectly 3 elementals). You just need to know what to do

I have the plans, i have the responsobility. Actually he wanted to buy the boots Gorion returned to me for 200g + the mats, so i might just sell that to him. That saves me the run, but i might get some bad enchantment on the next pair, but thats life i guess.

My initial hope was making around 1000g pr. pair, but if we cant get that.... it might not be worth trying to sell them on a regular bassis?
