re: selecting or uploading a new avator; I think i'm having the same problem as BigFatCat. There is a single radio button with 'do not use an avatar' beside it, and nothing else. There is nothing below to select.

just select an avatar in the bit below and it will automatically turn off the 'do not use an avatar' button.

Weird. have you tried clicking the radio button to see if it actually deselects? There should be a box below it to allow you to enter a URL or a local filename for upload.

As BFC is offline ill reply I clicked both buttons and radio button and nothing changes

It looks like the box is selected for do not use avatar ...de-select that and the option for the url may become available underneath ...

k cheers for the info. Regrettably I can't fix it as I have still to be added to the forum admin site after the move. However, I'll drop a PM to TL, OB and Gandy to see if one of them can fix it for those affected.

Keep the findings coming people, we'll get all the probs ironed out quicker that way

I appreciate the effort that went in to moving the forums, but vBulletin gets the :thumbsdown: so far.  I can only imagine it's an admin's wet dream behind the scenes, because judging from the front end...
