You could try NeedToKnow or Ellipsis either :)

NTK gets my vote, brilliantly simple addon.

If you need to track dots on multiple targets, try Forte Xorcist, but you'll need ot turn about 95% of the addon off unless you like a discolight show on your UI.

Tried NTK but couldn't figure out how to config it correctly. Dnno why but i'm bad at these things :p
But then i stumbled upon Quartz and was able to configure that so problem solved.
Thanks for the suggestions though.

NTK is awesome, can also use it to track procs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6IDQ99y92I&feature=player_detailpage#t=50s (theres alot of addon guides on youtube :p)
I used it back when I had the polearm from madness, to track the agi proc.. was nice to know when it was about to go off so I could use other cooldowns (rapid fire + call of the wild) and a potion so everything was lined up to get a nice dps boost

It's got to be one of the simplest addons in the world, it just does a bar and then you click on the menu to tell it what to track.   Grab me online and I can talk you through it if you want.

I thought it was about time to repost my UI and its current state of evolution.   The second picture is a duplicate of the first, but with annotations to tell you what each bit of the UI is doing.

UI with bars set to 'test' (i.e. a lot more bars show than would normally show at any one time)

Each person's requirements from a UI will differ.   There will be a lot of common core needs, but every indvidual class & player tends to need something specific that others do not have.   As such, I have never found any 'pre-packaged UI' to be satisfactory or to fulfill my requirements fully.    If I posted a picture of my mage's UI it would differ from the above.   Likewise my shaman is different, etc etc.

I'd highly recommend your 'various addons' route.  It means you get the "best of everything" rather than "80% of what you want and 20% of what you don't".  There is no advantage to running a package if it breaks in the future and you don't know how to fix it, or if it does not totally fulfill your requirements for all your classes.

OK in for a penny in for a pound.

As a base I'm using ELVUI. While it's not perfect it gives me a nice clean interface that works through most of the default screens (spells, abilities, auction house etc.) and removed the  WOW RPG style edges and borders which I don't really like. Out of the box the chat screens, unit frames, buff/debuff bars and mini map all work well enough for me.

Then there's

Bartender4
Tidy Plates - Threat Plates
Skada (Skada for tanks)
Omen
OmniCC
Bittens Spellflash:Monks
Gathermate2
DBM
GTFO - to make TL stop shouting at me :D
Eavesdrop
Reforge Lite
TomTom
Weak Auras for stagger meter and audible alerts.(not visible in the screenie)

As back up
Monktimers
Tellmewhen
Inline Auras (very good but broken in Bartender and ELVUI)

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Oddbal

Seems like a very nice UI mate :)

Thanks, I noticed a few boxes overlapped so it still needs a little tweaking and obviously most things were on test model to get them to activate.

You don't need omen either as skada has a threat meter built in.

Sadly I can't see Skada very well. I use it mainly to look back over after a fight and see how much healing I needed and received. then again I struggle to keep an eye on Omen as well

Aye, if you can't see Omen (an adjustable size threat monitor), then you'll struggle to see the adjustable size threat monitor built in to Skada too :P

Skada just does everything Omen does but also does a bunch of other stuff, so running both is not needed.   Position Skada where Omen was (or somewhere more noticeable) and configure it to default to the Threat table during combat, that way it will look like Omen when in combat, but then revert to being a damage meter when out of combat.

I jumped on quickly this morning and replaced Omen with a new Skada panel as you suggested. I've yet to see it working in a party but it does seem a better solution, thanks.

I just need some Heroics to check it out. Anyone want to run a few tonight with the distinct possibility I will mess up badly due all my new unfamiliar new UI settings let me know :)
