It could be a bit egoistic Yrthal but those 3 factors added up:
-Cant commit fully to RG2 due to Tuesday as a raid day.
-Homework goes first, which I cant make myself if Im raiding in the evening
-Yet again Molten Core which I did enough and it becomes a job, instead of a game as it should be.

Those made me make this decision, which was enough for me. And I helped alot of people in MC, I've been doing that since september last year... But there's also that there is a attendancy requirement which I just can't meet. So why should I take a spot as Defender when Im only 50% there at most?
Sorry if you cant agree on it, but this is my decision. I still stay in the guild to help when I can.

hmm hardly the right post to be discussing wheter its selfish or not to not be wanting to do MC again. But i think people should respect when someone who has been doing MC for a long while decides that going back is not what they want....
I for one has decided that this is the last time that i will accept a stepback, as i've done so before and to keep doing so will not bring me forward ;)

Well tbh Gall, I don't think anyone should really be too bothered about the whole raid-lvl sit'n now. If RG2 is vvv lucky it might be finished in BWL before Burning Crusade but given recent departures and new peeps on the team I do doubt it (I'm not being rude to anyone, I'm simply stating past precedent).

The point being that when BC comes out, MC kit at the least will be outmoded by green items and I imagine that alot of BWL items will be too especially if one factors in socketed items.

RG2 needs to focus on working as a group (and quickly identifying the tourists) and getting everyone to fulfil their potential. What everyone needs to realise is that at this time there is little profit to be had in updating many items but at the same time lots of profit to be had at fine-streaming their abilities.

Personally if I was still playing I wouldn't care less if I had a few more MC Raids at this time, now I've spent over 240 f'ing hours in there (prob the most out of anyone in the raidgroup, and quite a long margin ahead of the majority (being 120-160 hrs)). From now on if anyone moans on this post about MC time and they don't have 200hrs I'm going to lovingly and happilly flame them :D, promise. Sebas I feel sorry for you mate, but really this post isn't about that.

I'd be more worried at the thought that in 2 months time (about 10 raids) Blizz are likely to release BC and raiding there-after will be completely changed (25 man raids and everyone being at different lvls for most likely about 3 months).  RG2 will not survive in it's present state into BC simply because it's basic parameters do not permit it. In fact what will happen is the first lot of lvl70 peeps will make their own raid group and things will move on from there (hope you can all power lvl, bwahahaha). It will be interesting to see how the old guilds adapt to this especially as many rely on members who only really play during evening raids and will be very slow at lvl'ing. (For example when I lvl'd Bambe in 3 weeks over the summer many members hardly moved their alts a couple of lvls).

Anyways I hope this all gives you something to think about rather than moaning about MC.

Oh if anyone is thinking about creating a power-lvl'ing group let me know as I'd be very interested.

About that.. As I have experienced the last couple of weeks with reading the forum and no other form of computer-related fun (work is not fun, altho it involves computers), I am beginning to weaken and I am realising that I might just return within the next month as casual player lvling my mage. Altho you say power-lvling group I suppose you got school to take care of? anyways after work I will most likely start lvling my mage from lvl 60 and up and wouldn't mind a group to do that (lvl 49 pvp twink atm, but should be able to get him to lvl 60 before TBC) :g:
