Probably not the best member to be asking the question....   but,

Do SoG intend any changes to the RAID system / requirements after Burning Crusade is launched?

Obviously, people will be wanting more time to explore new content and also to level. But, after playing the BETA for a week now; (unless blizz change it dramatically), it seems the new drops beyond the portal will be far superior to the loot we are collecting now. ( I am talking BoE greens here).

as it stands:.....

In their quest to rule out 1-shot kills in PvP, it looks like the answer is to give every item +40 Stam (I'm talking cloth) and still give it + 30 - 45 spelldamage.

Before u reach lvl62 u have a green ring to match the epic ZG reward one  (too lazy to look it up at this time of night).(( and I know there's probably better now,   but this thing is green))

All this said...  some people may not buy the expansion pack...   do we rework the RG system accordingly?

I'm sure the officers have talked on this already, but also, I am sure members views/suggestions would be appreciated at this stage.

I'm sure content and drops will change quite a lot before the launch, But atm I am ditching epics for greens     and thats been going on since lvl62.

yeh i think the officers are working on something :)
but remember this is a delicate matter,
from 40 to 25 man raiding,
how would you like to be "left out" cos you dindt win the roll or the inviting officer may not like you as much as the next guy

so finding a system that the vast majoraty would agree with is a tough nutt to crack.
bare with them the job on this aint easy

It does **** me off that all the gear we have will be useless in a few weeks, however I am looking forward to replacing them with better kit.

As for 25 man raids, maybe an option would be to increase the members in Rg1 and 2 and on raid days you have two raid groups for each RG.

I.e Invites go out for Rg1 and fill up by class as normal. Those that dont get into RG1 then fill up RG1a and do exactly the same instance at the same time. Although everyone won't be in the same group we will all be able to benefit from tips and tactics that each of the groups discover.

Or maybe use the signup site for 3 or 4 raids on the same day and fill them up.

One benefit I can see from 25 man raids is that most nights we have plenty of people online who could fill at least one raid, so it is quite possible to do guild 25 man runs most days and evenings.

Obviously I don't know if the above suggestions are feasable but I am sure the officers will sort something out before then.

m8... imho it will be far more harder that 1st in 1st raid group method..

IF officers do decide it that way.. we would have some real balance issues

tbh ide hate not bieng in a group full of oldie members...since its been over a year with mostly the same ppl in a raid... it feels like a big family in the end

but, i doubt welle be doing the raid content of BC right after the release.. remember that we still have aq40 and naxx todo (and those will remain 40man)

Tanales

AQ40 and Naxx with a raidgroup that has over half of its players over lvl 60 will be ****easy and those ppl wouldnt want any items from there anyway.
So the only reason to do those instances is to kill the bosses and learn some new tactics.

Yeh, I'm sure Atiesh will still be a good reason to raid in Naxx also in BC!!

But like Rutski I'm curious to see how our Officer will manage the new 25 man cap with our 2 RGs, I'm sure they will do a damn good job...

strange that green lvl 62 will be so far superior to the lvl 58-60 greens
shouldn't be right.

With full tier 2 u should have been able to do well behond the nxt 5 lvls, wich clearly works with all other lower lvl epix

-=[dMw]=-Lumi|T.Wolve killed -=[dMw]=-R@ng3R with knife.

Vargen

Well atm we have about 25 ppl showing up for the twin emperor nights, we could just pick them and leave the 'slackers' behind :narnar:

Marduk

maybe there will be a few greens and blue's far superior to our epics now,
but not all of them, look at the dire maul greens that drop from bosses, some of them could have been blue if they would have dropped in blackrock instances or scholo/strat

and what is so great about this one ring we started off with, does it just have a whole lot of agi or does it have atack power and stamina and agi and what more maybe, because if it is just one thing it might look better then the multistat items the epics are

I think the issue here is because Blizz didn't think what would happen if they raised the level cap. Raiding was meant to be endgame. You can no longer level up, so the way to improve your character further is to get uber gear. It's basically a replacement for levelling. But not everyone can give the time that raiding needs, or has reached 60 yet. So you then have the issue that you can't *force* everyone to *have* to raid to have the gear required for starting 60->70, otherwise you'll get a big stack of people not buying TBC because they'll never experience most of the content, but equally if you make the quests and such of a level that a new 60 in greens can go straight onto them then chances are it won't be a challenge at all for anyone fully (or close) kitted out in one of the Tier 1+ sets or even just a full loadout of random epics. And if it ain't a challenge, where's the fun?

Their solution is to make sure that ASAP after you go past 60 most everyone is on a reasonably level playing field in terms of gear. So maybe a new 60 in only greens and a few blues can do the first set of quests in Outland, to get better stuff, but it will be really hard and maybe require sometimes teaming up with 1 or 2 other people, whereas a full Tier 2 char will still have to concentrate and have a bit of a challenge, but can solo all the starting stuff and use fewer/no pots etc...

The thing is, it's not uncommon to see a lvl 60 in a full stack of epics, whereas when have you ever seen a level 55 or below completely decked out in purple? They might have 1 or even 2, and most of the rest blues, but never full purple, or even close. This is the first time they've encountered this problem (characters of the same level and class being so vastly different in gear and thus having a vastly different range of what is easy/challenging/impossible), so they've had to come up with a new way of working things to get around it. Because of the sheer number of epics that a lot of 60s have, but many will not, the whole 'Epics are good for the next 5 to 10 levels' thing just isn't viable. AFAIK you don't get such a huge difference between epics (comparing Tier 1 with 3) at any other level than you do at 60 either.
