My thoughts about what happend after Naxx raid was called tonight

Now maybe you noticed and maybe you didn’t, but RG1 has some new people in it. I am also one of them. I am very proud and happy to be part of RG1 and SoG. I played on Aszune from the start and when I got to lvl 60 I made a choice to start pvp’ing instead of raiding instances. If I look back at it now, I know that I made the wrong choice. I did put a lot of time into pvp and I mean A LOT. So much that I got some serious RL problems because of it. Eventually I decided to quit WoW, to safe whatever was left of my RL. Little that I know, I found out the hard way that it was already too late. My RL was already destroyed. But enough about that.

Now after more then a year I came back and because I used to pvp so much, I had barely any good healing gear. Still SoG gave me a chance to proof myself and since the day I joined I have been putting a lot of my time into improving my healing gear, to become a better healer for RG1. I went from a <100 +healing, to >400 +healing. I know this still isn’t anywhere near what the other healers got in RG1, but I am happy with my improvements for as far as I was able to. I am not getting all this healing gear because I like it. I am doing this so I am of more use for RG1 and to make RG1 a little bit better, so RG1 will do better in AQ40 and whatever else that is still going to come. But after tonight I wonder if it’s all worth it.

So Naxx raid got called…now what? Let’s do Ony some people said. After a couple mins raid leaders agreed on doing an Ony run. They announced it in /ra and suddenly it seemed like half the raid group disbanded. Eerrmm…so now what? Sorry folks, not enough people for Ony run. Raid disbanding in 5!

Now I am just wondering. Don’t you all want those new people in RG1 to get better geared so in the end this will benefit the whole group? This all is just my idea and I would like to hear what you think about this.

I agree fully here with Soupa.... all people in the raid group has the evening set off anyways, and they should come along to help the others get geared
 
Get new people kitted up, is part of the process to be able to beat AQ40

I want new people to get better gear, so that we get better geared on averege that is, and only 20 man (wich aren't all rg1 mains) isn't really helping.

Agree on the attending part, but dont think of it as a pure loot issue (even if you didnt mean it with that post), loot is important for the raid progression ya, but you get my point

Yeah, you are right Soup. I did go offline with Neb, cause I was actually so ****ed inside that RG1 once again had a lack of attendance on a night where we could have learned/improved from Naxx, or AQ40 (yes wiping!).
 
This time I reacted perhaps too hastily and went off to play with my alt and I apologise for that to all the other members who did try to stay for the Ony run.

Soup there might have been miscommunication there. What the FM meant was the ony run is for RG1 members as soldiers or their alts. But i agree on the part that most ppl are not up to helping anymore and if you get help those are the same ppl all the time.

Attendance is a reacurring problem it seems. Maybe it is the tuesdays, maybe it is the wiping or maybe it's that it is the third raid night of the week.

I myself was maybe the first to leave. Once we realized that we weren't able to do anything sensable at all, I logged off. I took the time to show up on an official raid night, even though I had a splitting headache and I am bearly able to speak as I've been ill a few days. It might be selfish of me to leave, but hey, there were at least 10 ppl that couldn't even be arsed to show up in the first place. Now that is really nothing other then wasting ppls time.

In holding the place as a Guardian member, you have made a promise that you will be there. It has become WAY too common that ppl don't give a flying **** about tuesdays. 9 out of 10 times when I can't attend a raid, I know it at least a day in advance. Is it that hard to type "Sorry guys can't make tuesday's raid"? If that is the case, feel free to copy paste it from here.

For my self. I saw the "raid called" msg and made a portal to IF and left the grp.
 
Short after gruud needed ppl for his paladin epic mount quest, and I joined that and about 3 min after ppl called for ppl to ONY. But I coud not just leave the grp again to join ONY.

So that is why i didn't see anyone in Naxx when i came back after fixing my fathers pc.... I am sorry about that, but he came down to me with the computer and the drive is 1 hour... so i couldn't say no to do it... i said i was trying to get back in 20-30 mins but it took 2 hours to get the pc up and running.... Ireally did want to do Naxx, get the prequest to t3 done.... and i hope we can do it soon.

I have nothing against going on wiping raid, since they one time will be a loot raid... and that benefits whole RG1 and the members that need and/or want bether equipment.....
