Not sure if my input on this is still valid, but he seams a bit too eager to move guilds lately, and given his history in SOG i am not at all sure it will be in SOG's best intrest to get him back in.

Despite the fact that I personally tend to agree with Bastet's comments, I chose to split this from the main application topic as I continue to believe it is inappropriate for any officer to post comments on applicants in the member section of the forum.  Any posts should be in here so that you do not develop any prejudices of members by your own statements.  In addition, we don't know who knows who so officer comments are safer left within the officer section.

Anyway, Wierd was as I recall from the same split personaility mould as Greatdanes.  Quiet for the most part, but then loudly irrational and aggressive.  So my own thoughts are to pass on this membership application as he was one of the main generators of the 'under currrent' that became Redemption.  In addition, he deserves to be declined for comedy value alone - any GM that can set up his own break-away guild three weeks after forming a different break-away guild and then singularly fails to spell the guild name correctly deserves laughter, an amount of derision and no invite to SOG.

'Falle Ones' should have been 'Fallen Ones' but due to British humour and phonetics will always remain 'Phallic Ones' to me.  You don't need pricks in the guild. :norty:

Werdina asked me in-game today how his application was going. I just told him it were some days left out in the Members' section before we could make a decision.

But tomorrow, the application has been out there for four days, so we need to get to some kind of agreement pretty soon. Would be nice to have some feedback from all the Officers on this matter.

As I've said before, I don't feel too convinced by him, but on the other hand, he mostly is a nice bloke as well. As he would go under the new initiate rule (no priority for raiding during initiation), I guess we would pretty fast see what his intentions of joining are at least - if he's here just for the raiding, or if he wants back for the people.

I think I'm mostly leaning towards a rejection, but not 100% sure :g:

personally, i wouldnt want him creating any trouble and ime not too fond of risks,

he wants back in for the raiding

whats been on my mind would be marduks reaction if hese declined, since hese always been very eager to support him

The Guild does not rest on Marduk's reaction.  It's a dangerous road to go down if you try to keep people happy.  Just do what you think is right for the guild, not for some particular individual.

Im leaning towards rejection myself, but when seeing the reactions posted in the application thread, i dont know if we can justify rejection to our members.

Sandrion is doing his share backing him up and filling in some required fields. I feel we have to accept his application based on the information at hand. I moved the application out from the public section, and into the WIP section for awaiting respons.
Have a looksee [thread=19698]here[/thread] if you cant find it :P

We cant think of every single one in the guild to make all of them happy. We are many people and that will never happen. It will always be someone we let down in one way or another.
I dont know him enough to make a stand, but from what I have read here, I wouldnt risk it inviting him back in the guild.
Think of whats best for the guilds interest even if it means letting a few people down.
I dont mean to harsh to anyone, and I mean no offence. Just be cautious.

The majority seems to have gone for a rejection, so I guess that is what it'll be?

We should provide him with an answer at least, so if nobody have any last thoughts, I'll send him a PM with the rejection tomorrow morning (although, somebody else feel free to do it as well, as I'm very likely to be a bit hangover tomorrow, so I won't be up that early :narnar:).

PM has been sent, and the application thread has been archived.

Lets hope we're done with this case now.
