Actually I believe Oslo would be the most central place if we talk the Scandinavians in here.. Most of the Norwegians are from Ã...lesund (up north with the polarbears)..
That would be expensive though, as Norwegians still haven't figured out how they're suppose to sell beer.. But since I live there I wouldn't mind.. saves me a planeticket :flirty:

Oslo would be okay as well. Hm, guess its either car over Svinesund or boat? Anyways, I would be up for that.

Car is about 8 hours drive through Sweden I think.. Boat (with taxfree shop onboard - woo) is about 12 hours of sailing (or 18 if you catch one that stops by Sweden on the way) and the plane is about 55 minutes of flying (which makes it about 3-4 hours in total if you bring a lot of luggage and your in good time in the airport)..

Flying and sailing is pretty much the same price depending on when you order it.. if you order in good time the flight can be as cheap as 600-700KR, while I think the boat as a fairly constant price at about 1200kr.. if you order the flight some weeks /days before going the price can be around 1200-1500KR.. Thats with Sterling anyways.. Haven't found any cheaper so far..
Driving depends on the amount of gas you use I suppose.. I think my old folks spend about 2000-3000kr on driving up here one weekend..

Anyways.. depends on how much time and money you wanna spend going here

EDIT: then we also need to convince the norwegian guys to take the bus/plane down here by the way..

Not likely that I'll be up for something like this this year. A friend of mine is getting married, which will cost me quite much (travel there, hotel, presents etc), and I'm also moving apartment sometime this summer. Not to mention that I have to start saving some money for the November lan (tickets will probably be ordered in a not too far future)...

Nonsense.. I think we're talking a weekend or somit? 1000 NOK from Ã¥lesund to Oslo and back.. If you're like 5-6 norwegian guys you can get a room at anker for 185 NOK per night per person.. If you take the 10 pm bus you'll be back monday morning at 8 am just in time for work/study etc..
If you're a big spender, then you might get close to 2000NOK but I reckon thats the max..

You could need it after a lot of exams etc :flirty:

Although I reckon with the cost of getting there and staying in a hotel etc, I think we'd have to drink one hell of a lot of beers to make it worthwhile.. economical-wise :narnar:
