I want to set up RAID 0 on my rig but without re-intalling windows.

I know XP will require an additional driver to acess the array (RAID driver for my chipset) but will it work if i install the driver, then make the image of the OS, set the raid up, then restore the image to the array?
or do i have to do a repair install and use the "press F3 to install third party SCSI or RAID driver" when the XP CD loads?

cheers,

Some RAID controllers will convert a normal HDD to a RAID 0 stripe, so it may be easier than you think.  Which RAID controller are you planning to use?

As you are changing controller for the disks you could look at it as a mini version of putting a different motherboard into a PC. In which case my post here:

will put you in the right direction :)
