Nef and I have been trying to get our hands on a car and travel just the two of us, but to no avail. Booking a seat on a plane now would be £350 which is out of my budget. That means no LAN :sad:.
 
Mats, Nef and I have booked and paid in advance for the Eurotunnel, both ways. Can this ticket make anyone happy then PM me - ASAP.

We were supposed to drive with Mats, neither me nor Nef own a car. We could rent one but it would blow our budgets :sad:

Edit: The best I can come up with is £575 for the car rental with the 2500 KM to drive (deducted the 300 free km), and then there is the fuel... Sucks to be a student...

Hadn't really thought of that tbh. I just went through quite a few of them. Prices are in the £150-200 range which is quite fair. The problem is the late planning, earliest arrival in London by bus would be afternoon on the Saturday

Also, the bus ride is 22 hours to London, with bus changes, and with a PC, monitor and stuff I am not sure I am up for that...

Well, if I really call in some favors I can get my hands on a '96 Corsa. Problem is it might not make it. It has been towed to a workshop three times the last six months for problems such as failing fuel pump, leaking radiator, complete electronics failure, stuck handbrake, abs failure etc...

At present it drives fine with the "take this car to the workshop asap - electronics gone bad!"-sign on at random, and with no working fan in the engine compartment I have to keep the heating system inside the car pumping out heat when being in a queue... call me a pussy but tbh I don't dare do the trip in it :sad:
