well, I hope you enter the name of the demo and not "demoname" as I wrote. If the file is called "final" you should write in console

playdemo final

If you saved it as "sourcetv_1" you need to write

playdemo sourcetv_1

etc

You do not need to be on any server as long as you can bring up the console.

I believe that due to Hektor having a german keyboard he is unable to bring up the console due to not having a "~" key.

the name of the file is "sourcetv_1.dem".
i always get the message : "couldnÂ´t open file sourcetv_1.dem for reading"
i saved it and put it in the cstrike folder. but there are a lot of sub-folders. maybe i must put it in one of them?:g:

indeed, but i looked up in the internet a few hours ago, and found a command: bind "F12" "toggleconsole"
i wrote that in the textfile which i create last week with you for the rate-thing.
now i can open the console with F12

I take it from that reply you managed to get the console working?

If the file is in "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\youraccountname\counter-strike source\cstrike" then it should work.

Having a DK keyb gives same problems. I have changed the bind to a numpad key instead.
