I've just heard and read on the news that 2 Dutchguys, age 14 and 15 got arrested for beating up a fellow Runescapeplayer.

This Friday the police arrested 2 boys aged 14 and 15 in Leeuwarden for beating up and threatening a 13 year old.
The victim had a great Runescape-account and both the suspects wanted to get the account.
When they saw the victim in Leeuwarden they took him with them to the house of one of the arrested guys. There they hit and kicked the 13 year old and threatend him with a knife untill he gave away his accountdetails.

As a former RS player, I must say it really isn't worth the effort of beating somebody for good gear. No game is worth applying violence in real life, but for reasons of morality. RS simply isn't worth the effort. Seriously. It isn't.

Why would you give a real password? If they took you to their house where there computer is then fair enough...but just get the police on them. And if not they can hardly beat you up in a web cafe. Plus an email to steam will cancel the account, I guess you'd need any card details you'd used with the account if any or some other proof like the disk and s/n of a game you'd registered and they'd hand control back to you.
Personally I'd prefer to try and track them down using my account and smash their house up while they're gone out (minimum risk of being beaten up again) leave some incriminating evidence around then call the police as a concerned neighbour.
