Romus

I'll be there tomorrow and on thursday.

spudgun55

I will be there to, its a good combo and like all combos before it starts of hard but with pratice and patients you end up  hooked, :D

I'll be on, connection permitting.
Although I am receiving excellent signal strength ratings, I have been down to 2Mbps and disconnected for the past two nights. Ventrilo ping 25000+. Presently showing 54Mbps :D So here's hoping.
Car is a handful, likes some kerbs but not others and the minute you take a little wing off, it does a fine imitation of a spinning top.
Roll on Thursday. Lets get it over.

BigFatCat

It's only Tuesday and I'm already making calculations on how to totally bags the race up with when's the worst time to stop and how little fuel I need to run out on the last lap.

Loved the speed but really really struggled with this beast of a machine.
Its a really good combo to spectate though I am trying to weigh up whether its too dangerous for me to join on Thursday I don't want to ruin anyones race....

BigFatCat

It's a bit mad, things can happen so fast. Not well endowed with sideways visibility, so it's accurate.

Getting a tow is mental, and parts of the track are bumpy enough to make you turn in from memory as you can't see well. It's great to keep your foot in and throw it left, right, left through the sweepy bits around the second split.

One stop, two stops, fuel loading, tyre usage all major factors in this, to a far greater degree than usual, or does it just feel that way, because it's what you do in F1?

The good thing in this car is that after this all other cars feel much slower and so easier to drive. Meaning that it feels there is so much more time to react on things

I was able to do some quite ok times which I can live with. The problem is that I have to keep TC on high settings and that means my start from the line sucks seriously. Even if I would start from the pole all other just fly past me. My start is actually so slow I'm more like a hazard to others. Not really inspiring and I seriously consider skipping the long race.

If you are lucky you might be in better position after the T1. :D

crazyR1

I must admit this has been a tough combo, but still loved it,hard work but rewarding.Have missed all the dMr packed grids:sad: but hopefully this will change with the new combo:)

looking forward to the race tonight, and hope we can get a good grid, any ideals for fuel and tyres?

BigFatCat

You'll need them both, yes.

Not really. R3 for me I guess...fuel...you have to refuel for once at least...I think this is the first time you really have to refuel (unless you plan to have a 20 min pee break middle of the race) :g:

Doorman

Replay for BF1@AS5 is available on the skins download section. In a perverse way I enjoyed the hell out of that. Well done Spudgun. Maybe the BF1 will be resurrected at some time in the future and you'll be able to see if that win was a fluke! :D

That combo was very enjoyable, as was the race. It was great to actually have to figure out a proper pit strategy :) . had a nice battle with the Bigfatcat for the first half.  Then I was trying to catch Spudgun after the pit. But what do you know? he decided to wait for me last lap :D , think he was running to the podium to open the champers ,  cant say I blame him, I was well thirsty after that race. :D

Good race all

Congrats Spud :)

Yeap sure was a fast frantic race, managed to over shoot the 3rd left hander dropping from 2nd to 9th, then it was an all out push to catch bigfatcat and seany, somehow after pushing like crazy managed to get behind them. i decided not to change tyres which helped, and this managed to get me infront of the leading 2 guys,  thought the race was over when infact there was still one lap left, thanks lameduck for pointing that out to me as i was in full celebration mode!!!  superb.:yahoo:
