Two new Albums

Oasis - Dig out your soul.

I don't actually know how Oasis have pulled this album off but I have to say I really like what I have heard so far.
The album was in the works for ages, its massively over produced and with heavy influence on orchestras and synthesiers they have managed to rip off more riffs than ever before but somehow the album sounds refreshingly raw and feels fresh in the current hum drum thats out there at the moment.
Two thumbs up at the moment but I am not sure how long this will last.
Oasis continue to Experiment and develop and as I told a friend the other day Morning Glory has been done and its still with us so don't expect another one.
Look out of waiting for the Rapture intro then listen the Five to One by The Doors.

Kings of Leon - Only By Night.

Let me start by saying I absolutely love Kings of Leon, I have seen them live a few times and they blew me away.
Although their last album didn't do justice to the debut album it was still quite good, this new offering is without doubt back to the high standard I have come to expect from the Kings flowing with melodic guitar riffs and good rocking overtures that is constantly pulled off so effortlessly. Topped by cracking vocals and sound great lyrics who could ask for more.

Some decent songs on there but the mix is atrocious. :sad:

Never really checked Kings of Leon out, they have some good songs.

new KOL is fantastic.

I don't know what the issue is with the mix on Death Magnetic. It's a great album, most likely one of their best since Puppets.

That new Metallica album is awesome yes, but that new AC/DC album might just top it, the killers and snowpatrol albums will have to wait for me (they'll be in the 3 for 25 euro baskets withing 5 months anyways

Can't decide if i like it or not yet.. They seem to be trying to mix mainstream tracks like in The Black Album with their earlier, much thrashier, stuff. Seperately they're both great.. But seperately. To be honest, i keep skipping The Unforgiven III... Don't see how there could even be an Unforgiven II. You shouldn't try and make sequels to such brilliant songs imo. But what do i know

Shouldn't really comment on any of the other artists you guys are talking about.. Not really my taste in music anymore

Listen to Broken, Beat & scarred and you'll rewrite that txt, End of the line is pretty good to btw.
