Thanks for your input chaps. Googling the number turned up nothing. I've paid the bill and wiped my mouth with it. I could see a long torturous road ahead of me to fight it and life's too short. The most anyone will be able to rip me off for now is £10! I've put that down to experience.

Yeah, some fights aren't worth the time. If you value your time at £6 and hour, I would imagine it would take more than 10 hours to resolve...you're in profit.
