Steam error

Hello.

I thought this would be the best place to get support from.

When I open my computer my steam won't open and I get this message: ''Steam.exe (main exception): Unable to load library Steam.dll''

Is there anyone who knows what to do?

From what I read this can either be attributed to a program like peer guardian blocking the ip's that steam uses, or the .dll file could simply be missing.

If you reckon the ip's are being blocked you could manually try to allow them.

If you think the .dll file is missing you can download the steam.dll file here and put it in the correct folder to see if this solves the issue:

Reinstall Steam from the install files from //www.steampowered.com

I deleted all the old files and reinstalled steam. Now it seems to work fine:) thx for the help guys:worship:
