Interesting discussion! :)

At the risk of going slightly off topic: what does the rulebook really mean whey they talk about "the car on the outside" and "the car on the inside"? :g: My impression was that the leading driver could pick whatever line he wants through the corner, no matter if he chose the inside or outside line leading up to a corner. (as in "should the overtaking car not have enough overlap, the leading car may resume his racing line without fear of contact") But that doesn't seem to fit too well with this part:
Quote from: The Mightly RulebookThe car on the outside has the right to outside room all the way through the corner ââ,¬â€œ right up to the exit point. They should not be squeezed against the outside towards the exit point.
The car on the inside has the right to inside room all the way through the corner - right up to the exit point.

What are they talking about here? Is this for the situation where both cars are side by side (with no significant overlap) entering the corner?

Two cars cornering side by side. Corner going to the right. The left hand car is on the outside. The car on the inside is closest to the apex.
Goddit? :)
