We like walls of text!

Personally, despite my huge loyalty and ties to DMR,  I do not raid with DMR for precisely those reasons, so I think I can safely say I do understand where you are Garrit.  That being said, DMR are making progress and the changes Gandalf has introduced and continues to introduce will make DMR a stronger raiding guild but still with that social cohesiveness that we all love.

It's a courageous step to take and I wish you the very all the very best in finding what you want.

same here m8. I understand what you are looking for and not sooooo far in the distant past the same thoughts were going through my head, but due to personal reasons they never became more than thoughts, so i can understand where you are coming from. It would be a huge shame to lose you as  raider.

Things have moved rather quickly it seems. I applied to Origin last week but as I said they were full. This week a spot in Eluo came up so I applied and have been given a trial for the upcoming weeks. They've put me up for tomorrow night already so I'm going to make the transition then.

This is just a post then to make sure there's nothing we need to go over before doing so? I do believe I'm leaving behind a solid tanking team at least, seeing as we have tanks in offspec running around quite regularly. Apart from that, if there is anything... do poke me for a TS talk or whatnot.

If it's ok I would like to stay in DMR with my alts, but I would find it no more than normal if my remaining toons would be stripped of their officer rank/guild bank privileges. That I will leave up to you guys.

That said, I don't know how to finish this really. This is not goodbye by any means. I would like to remain part of the DMW community as it's a great initiative and has great people in it. Furthermore, although this sounds rather sudden and blunt, I wish you lot a big good luck in carrying on raid leading. It's been an honor to be part of the team for my part. So... yeah.

Grtz Garrit, GL with the trial.

I've already PM'd Gandalf about this a couple of days back, but seeing as it is now in the Council forum then I'll make my comment here:

As I have a foot in both Eluo & DMR camps I thought I would confirm for the record that nobody in Eluo either sought or encouraged Garrit's application, it just arrived and was all his own work as they say.  I don't want anyone to feel Eluo was working to 'steal' one of DMR's members.

To add to that, I did not specifically apply to Eluo due to TL having an influence or whatnot either. As said I was on the lookout for any high-end raiding guild with a spot open. Coincidence wills that Eluo just happened to be the first.

GL garrit, i know you will be a damn good addition to the raid force over there and im sure no one will object to you staying in dmr with your alts

Hello guys, you've likely noticed I've been vacant from WoW recently. I have hardly had time to do so recently. The only playtime recently I've had was spent using WoW as an instant messenger to my sister on Arathor-EU.
I've been working alot recently, coupled with helping my brother and 'seeing' a girl(which hopefully will evolve soon ^^) it has meant little time. I'll be honest WoW has always been a filler for me, something to plug gaps. But now it seems I don't have many aforementioned gaps in my life.
The reason for this post is to declare a hiatus from WoW, but I might be back depending on how things work out. So not goodbye, most likely a see you later.
With all this I am giving my sister my druid, he will remain on my account and she said I can bring him back to Aszune anytime I want.
I'll miss the team stuff and the chats, but this is best for me, I don't want WoW to creep too high on my priority list.
I will jump online when I get time to say hi and check in on the guild, on an alt. But not sure if I'll be back raiding too soon.
Thank you for letting me join you so openly, the will of this guild to give people a chance makes it special. I'd like to stay on the forum and have an alt stay in the guild if that's ok.
Again thank you, and good luck!

Cheers bud ... You will have a warm seat in the corner for when/if you come back. As for the forums you will always be a member so please dont be a stranger
The only thing we would do is knock down ya status to friendly in a hope that you come back at some point
I hope you get a bit more time to play at some point as you will leave some big boots to fill... and ill be lost without your awsome tallents to follow.
Thanks for you time and efforts with dMr without it we would not have moved this far :crying:

Sorry to see you go, but real life does come first.

Thanks for all your help in the past, and as Jas said, there is always a spot for you.
