With the new patch hitting on Wednesday dMr are changing what raids are locked for raiders. They are as follows;

Onyxia 25 - Thursday run
ToC 25 - Thursday run
Weekly Raid Quest - Thursday run
Icecrown Citadel 25 - Sunday, Tuesday run

All other instances are open and can be PUG'd as you wish.

Any plans on making a night availible for 10 man runs on ICC? The extra badges would help a lot with gearing up.

ToC and Ony as normal. Wednesday will have the first looks with the 10 man groups and these will probably continue Friday and Saturday. That way, when Sunday hits, we'll have a much better idea of what to expect in 25 man.

The 10 man's will be a regular occurence, as the 10 man ToC is now.

First of all i want to say that i know to be only a member so i accept every plans leaders/GM will decide, but i like to say my personal opinion too:

1) 10 men raids are really usefull for me, and I think for others too, to better learn tactics and have practice. They also drop some nice gear, usually quite similar to the previous 25 men raid (in es: 10 men ToC similar/maybe better Uld 25 objects), that obviously means a bit of help in killing 25 men bosses.

2) I have noticed, maybe i'm wrong, that we usually have a better progress in 25 men when we put a 10 men raid regular in the calendar. Maybe for the reasons said above.

3) If you run 10 men during off days (expecially Friday and Saturday for me) i can almost never join them, but i think that also others raiders will have the same troubles. Now i know this is something you can answer with: well this is not our problem; anyway my idea is that running the 10 men at least one or maybe 2 days a week, would help a lot (i mean not during off days), and at least for the first weeks.

my 2 cents.

As always sorry for my horrible english

(and none will know that i spent almost 20 minutes to write that! :crying:)

Good point Pil ... the problem we have is time available. I agree the 10 man fights make you learn the key points and gives better insight into what is happening. So with only 3 nights we have we need to make the choice of what will be usefull to the most members. People stand a chance of getting a 10 man together when enough are on. I will add that when we are having problems with a boss  in the past we have dropped to 10 mans for a short period. The aim tho I recon should always be 25 man

The good thing is ... with the up xmass raid break 10 mans will be poping up im sure

As for the raid quests, we'll be doing those on Thursday too.

I will like to share one concern about the weekly raid quests. These quests can be completed in 10 or 25 man, normal or heroic difficulty and the rewards are exactly the same (correct me if i'm wrong please), and the objectives are rather simple and straightforward, and with the new LFG system is fairly simple to PUG a balanced group and make the quest.

To put here an example, the weekly raid quest for this week is to kill the first arachnid boss in Naxx. With a group of fairly geared people, in 10 man, it took less than 5 minutes to PUG it with the new LFG and less than 5 min to do reach the boss and kill him in 10 man, with the reward of 33g, and 5x Emblems of frost / triumph.

With this I mean that it's kinda simple thing to do in normal wow time, while in our raid days it will mean valuable time that we can use to focus on the progress of the 25 man instances that we are running.

Of course is just an opinion. For this week i'm already saved to the weekly raid quest, so if the weekly raids continue to be official DMR ones, then I will be aligned with that too, but I honestly think that that time will be better used in our other challenges. :)

You do make a valid point saori, however, a lot of people just don't like pugs (myself included) and would like these to be done as a guild.

But, yes, the rewards are the same even done on normal 10 man.

This is something i like to remark. Why dropping to 2x10 men after having problems with a Boss? Is not better to do it immediately, to avoid problems with a Boss as much as possible? this is my thought. I've noticed that in the past we had trobles in killing a boss, for exemple the second part of Uld, or Faction champions in ToC, so we dropped to 2x10 men, as you Jas said...and magically we had a progress in the 25 men. That's why i said that having a 2 x 10 men raid at the really start of this patch would be better.

Again it's just my thought, and i've no problems as never i had, about you leaders will decide, also becouse honestly, wipes don't scare me.

About the weekly raid quests, i'm so lazy, that i have to agree with the good Necro, unless this week i joined a Corpse run run so i'm already saved.
