GJ everyone!

Logs will hopefully come up soon
Maybe there\'s something to be said for being different. We are who we are. What more could we ask for?

Looks fine to me :flirty:

It was a great first kill - and it demonstrated that this is most certainly a control fight not a dps race.   Even with half the raid down on some previous attempts the tries were progressing smoothly in a stable fashion (albeit a little slower) until we made a mistake.  So the golden rule for future kills is control & spacing - that's where we struggled and what we got right on the kill!

Congratulations guys! This kill has put us to 27th spot on Aszune, 19th Alliance side.

What I found interesting is that you went the 3 normal tanks way. DK is not a surprising choice for tanking Keleseth but I think Arkron had it pretty hard without Icy Reach and Acclimation talents... I remembered myself tanking Keleseth in 10 man on my hunter, running all around the room with my 35 yards range shots to keep 4-5 berries on me. But then again - my hunter had only 33K health and having 20K health more can prove to be useful :) Still, my question is, how many berries did Arkron usually have on himself?

Edit: Also good that we killed those two bosses with only 10% buff. Since today the buff goes up to 15%

Leemo

I think the DK was a good choice, Arkron's inexperienced showed on the first few attempts, with him only catching 2-3 orbs.

However, he'd picked it up nicely by the end and regularly had 4+ on him and he did excellently on the kill. Recount shows he took hardly any damage.

I was concerned about the Taldaram tank - he seemed to die a lot. On the killshot, I was tanking Valanaar and Taldaram for the final 16% or so after he went down again.

I don't know what Demi and the healers think - whether it's a tank gear issue or healing issue?

2-3 is what I thought if you have only 20yds range of yout Icy Touch and still want to build some aggro on the boss. That still makes you run as crazy (Tuskarr Vitality on boots?)... Having 4 or 5 berries and still have enough threat sounds like fantastic job for melee.
SV hunters have it really easy on this fight threat-wise with 15-20K shot each 6 seconds and 25-30K shot each 9 seconds and also 41yds range, though.

As a DPS noob, I was out of range of the bosses for two of the attempts*, and caused minimal damage to anything, as I tried in earnest to maintain a 12 yard spacing. To be fair to Ark, in one of the early attempts, I didn't know what to hit other than the blue orbs (peeps were yelling to hit orbs!)...I didn't realise that I was not supposed to hit the blue ones :-).

*not counting the inadvertent pulls

On the successful attempt, I was aware of the 12 yards spacing, but frequently had to go through other peoples space to hit the bright orbs floating to the ground. I was keeping a look out for a bolt hole to run to when the warning came about spacing. It seemed to work OK. In combination with the 'pets' we managed to keep most off the ground and put several through the ceiling.

It was hard work and I wasn't sure of my role, but gratz to all on a further victory over the minions of The Lich King.

While it definitely wasnt the right orb to hit :D that shouldnt be an issue, ArkÃ,´s Icy touch puts DoT on the berry and the berry always attaches to whoever damages it last

In my opinion this is solely pet job. Hunters, Warlocks, Frost DKÃ,´s - put your pets on passive, watch for Kinetic Bombs, send pet in. Once the Bomb "dies", your pet is back at your side and you know you have to look for another bomb. I am usually doing it like that when tanking Keleseth on my hunter.
This is not a DPS race so you should be able to watch the room quite comfortably.

as far as i know i had sheep and jas healing me, but don't know if jas strayed a little away from me to help on the raid. but i still think sheep is building on gear for his shammy, might be a tad undergeared.

checking logs i died in a mix of a meleehit and a shockvortex, and 20 sec before one of my healers had died to the flameorb

Jim

7th healer worked quite well in the end - i ended up healing everyone on top of Leemadinn

although in the last 2 mins of the fight i was running on Regen :(

And @Photo - i was posting on my phone which doesnt show links so yeah
