Might be absent tomorrow (Thursday) night for the Normal DS clearance for meta achievements.  I'm switching my fibre provider Thursday morning and the process should only take a couple of hours (allegedly), but BT are involved so you never know.   With luck I'll be back online by lunchtime and able to turn up in the evening, but this is pre-warning just in case!

As an aside, looking at the sign up list, we might have a couple of spots free.

Had one visit from a BT engineer who has switched my voice line from the copper pair to the fibre, just waiting for them to switch my old Brighstar fibre off and activate the BT version.   It's scheduled to happen some time between now and midnight, but it hasn't happened yet.

Well, all my worst fears are coming true.  BT visited yesterday, my Brightstar fibre got disconnected yesterday at about 5pm and still my fibre with BT has not been activated - they claim 'software problem' at the exchange.  

They tell me it will be fixed within 24 hours, but they also promised it be sorted by midnight last night.

To cap it all, they have also managed to break my voice line too, so I have no phone line either.

God bless BT, because I'm cursing them.   :angry:

It gets better.  Having broken my internet connection BT decided to send me an update on the fault by (you guessed it) email!

To rub salt into the wound, the message was:

"We have looked at your problem and think we can fix it by the end of 19/09/2012."
