So i got this mace...

Long story short:
A while ago I bought a Sulfuron Hammer from AH for just 750G (considering it needs 8-9 ingots which cost like 1.5-2K each not to mention the other mats, it's cheap).

But I wonder what to do with it. Try to get my second Sulfaras (the legendary whopping 80dps mace) or sell it for a rip-off prize and maybe get epic flying for my alt?
(the mace isn't bound yet, it's still BoE and thus can still be sold/traded)

Incase of going for the legendary, I will need help since I can't do MC on my own.

Well, what do you think? Go for legendary or go for gold?

If achievements and bling are important to you then go for the legendary.

If items that are useful to you today are important then go for gold.  The value of the hammer drops as you can practically solo MC these days, so if you really want one you can always go back and get it yourself at 85.

But as far as I know, MC will be gone in Cataclysm (or changed to lvl 85 or something...not sure if it is true).

Soloing MC is still quite hard (for certain classes anyway). I managed to get pretty far with my pally, but due to gear/spec it's not yet possible to solo (besides that, my pally is horde). My warrior can defenitly not solo MC (again gear/spec) and Golemag (the dude with the ingots) is realy painfull.

I do like achievements and bling, but I already got a sulfaras on my pally.

Currently Im more leaning towards selling the thing (got the sulfaras on 1 char, and fast flying is realy realy sweet, besides a beautifull dragon beats a silly gryphon any day). But I also heard rumors of possible upgrading old legendaries (yeh, I know, they say that every expansion).

Aaargh, Im keep ending up in a conflict with my brain (and yes, I do have those )

If you feel it's important go for it.  It's just a completely useless item unless it is important to you from an achievement point of view.  If you'd rather have the gold to spend on something you can use then the answer is equally obvious!

I do collect weapons (old ones usualy), but I guess I already got a sulfaras.
I'll give it a shot on the AH, see if people pay idiotic amounts of gold for it.

Your list in order of availability:

[ITEM=43955]Red drake[/ITEM] - get exalted with Wyrmrest Accord and pay 1600G
[ITEM=44178]Albino drake[/ITEM] - get 50 mounts and then check your mailbox (30 faction ground mounts, 8 faction flying mounts,  7 Argent tournament mounts, Wintergrasp mammoth, and maybe some AQ mounts..... it is not even expensive these days to get 50 mounts.
[ITEM=43986]Black drake[/ITEM] - get couple of people together and zerg OS10 + 3D. Then win a roll. Drop rate 100%
[ITEM=43954]Twilight drake[/ITEM] - get couple of people together and zerg OS25 + 3D. Then win a roll. Drop rate 100%

I know where to get a few of those drakes (got a few on my warlock, 92 mounts so far).
However, unfortunatly the coolest (Twilight imho) is a bit...well...unreachable for me. My dps is not good enough (don't know exact numbers, but clearly no where near 5K), gear isn't good enough, and...well the GS and Achievement horrors pretty much prevent me from doing raids all in all (on my warrior at least). And from the "non-pine apple-tailed" dragons, the Onyxian drake is by far the coolest, have seen 1 on this realm...unfortunatly not mine. However, Onyxia also is GS and Achievement stuff, which ofcourse I don't have (yet).

Best chance is the Bronze or Red I think, haven't done many heroics on my warrior though (again because of gear, and people tend to go into nerdrage if you don't do 5K dps in HC's sometimes :S).

A little bit off-topic but when you spoke about seeing that rare drake once, look at what (or rather who) have I seen yesterday. I started playing in summer 2008 so this is pretty rare sight for me (in fact, I have never seen him before):

There's quite an interesting story behind that mount on this server. At the time of the AQ opening, there was the massive quest chain to get the sceptre to bang the gong to open the gates. That person would then get the "Scarab Lord" title and that mount. As far as I know, it was only 1 a server, although I did then hear that anyone who used it within the next 12 hours would also get those(?) but this didn't happen on Aszune. The way Naguar got his was by getting the sceptre on Aszune after the gates had been opened, then server transferring to a German RP server who hadn't opened their gates yet. He runs along, bangs the gong, gets the mount and the title, stops playing for a few months then transfers back. I remember a thread on the Aszune forum about 20 pages long with people saying it was a great idea, others saying he was being a dick. As far as I am aware, this is the only active one on Aszune as I believe Elithuzad, the holder of the other one, no longer plays, on that character at least. Someone might know differently though.

Yeah a lot of people did that realm-transfer thingy to get the mount and title. But as far as I'm aware, it's no longer possible (new realms have AQ opened already).
The name of the dude in the screenshot didn't ring a bell, I knew it was someone else on Aszune but couldn't remember the name. But think what Sinap said was right, it was Elithuzad.

But, believe it or not, I've seen more Scarab Lords and their mounts than Onyxian drakes. Heck, I've even been in battlegrounds with 2 or 3 Scarab Lords (so 3 of them in 1 BG!).

Anyway, almost had a bronze drake yesterday. We barely made it in time (1st tank was an *beep* and left after a wipe because he failed at tanking), second tank was quite good and made it with only few seconds to spare (less than 1 minute left on timer). Unfortunatly I lost the roll, so stuck with my gryphon for a while.

As far as i know Sinap is correct. Elithuzad was the Original Gong  basher on aszune. (the drama that gave when they started at 3 PM to  prevent server lag, which didnt work at the end)
i heard the same story about Naguar, and read that rant as well.

That questline to get the sceptre is awesome though (try the conversation with azuregos after he is killed). One of the best questlines in game and i can recommend that people try it if they want to invest the resources into it and have the groups to do the instances and such.

True what others have said here. Elith was the original gong banger (that just sounds wrong) and he has the Scarab Lord title (which i used to tease him with in Sora). Elith stopped playing a while back as i remember after coming back to play for a while in WotLK. Actually when other realms was made, there where some opportunist from other servers that transfered to those servers and did the questline to be the first to get the mount and the title. There will also be one pr. server, so new realms had that possibility.

And as Luna said, the questline is really good and funny. Its not all soloable, but i would come help people that need it done if you get to the parts, you cant complete alone.

nice reading ...  yes it true about the germans.. and it was RP-PVP. I played on Aszune as a priest after the transfer. To bad the cooldown as 3 months.
