I got the following PM from Bell:
QuoteLeaving DMR

    Lo mate,

just thought i would send you a pm with regards to me leaving the guild on bell, i would like to request to leave my rogue Celebess in guild as social as i have come to love the banter and would really miss the social side of the guild. i will be leaving the guild today/tomorrow as the invs for SPQ are going out in the next 24hrs.

i just want to say now that i have loved my time in DMR and love the DMW as a whole and will be staying on forums and will also be looking in to some other games aswell

    cheers
    Dave

As already mentioned, I've already been approached by them to see if I wanted to join and I know other officers have been approached.  I hope they don't try and poach too many of our players away as it's not a very good way to treat an old guild or one you have friends in (in the case of Theb).

I'm happy for Bell to keep an alt in the guild.

I think to approach people within the guild, including officers, and to then want an alt to be left in DMR are mutually exclusive events.  Sorry, that's my 2 cents.  If they're gone, they're gone.  For the longest time we have maintained we're not an alt guild.

Did anyone actually have any opinions on this?  It might be nice for Jas to see some comments from others on this when he returns to help the decision making process.

I know Bob is away this week as well but more feedback would be nice.

I think bell is a very nice and friendly person and dmr got loads of social players in the guild as dmr is a part of dmw and it  should have something for everyone but since bell don't have his rogue as a main I would say that is a no since we already have loads of alts in the guild and it just gets frustrating keeping loads of alt in the guild that we can't keep track of untill all that is left is the officers and 400 alts.

It might sound rude but that is my :2cents:
Maybe there\'s something to be said for being different. We are who we are. What more could we ask for?

i Have to agree here...as mentioned we are not an alt guild and its beginning to look like it more and more.
So i say if you leave you leave completely.

Id say get a good cleane up just b4 cata comes out.

I think we are all of a similar mindset, we have had a few brief discussions about it on ts and i think we do need to remove

An update from today.  I spoke to Bell earlier and he removed his last alt from the guild.

I think it's only bell and davemk who went over there but I might be wrong

If they approached Whitey, they will also have approached others.  No guarantees that this will mean anyone else will leave, but it means we need to be mindful of the possibility and to try to reinforce to existing members the stability and intent to progress this guild.  That was the point of the other thread I posted, to let members know we want to push things forward.

We have been reinforcing the message at the end of raids talking to everyone there about a strong team and how much fun we are having and talking to people about raiding in Cata and things like that, we even had a discussion about main raid toons in cata during some trash on sunday night. I have head no wisperings from anyone else at all about being unhappy or wanting change i got a feeling that its just them 2, possibly ez and roary later on but they were never raiders with us anyhow.

From what I can see with the people who have already confirmed they will be raiding with us in Cata, we will have a very strong 10 man progress group and other than healing the makings of a good second group.  I'm sure more people will surface nearer the time to boost the numbers and if we can catch the wave then we should be in a good position to recruit in any positions we lack depth.  Lets just keep things positive in chat over the next few weeks (as we have been already).

p.s. Can we have a quick chat after tonight's raid to discuss our plans for raiding until Cata hits?
