I'm voting for number one. I don't want it to feel left out.
Besides, you asked us to choose one.

You're with me then!

Being pedantic, there isn't a number ONE, only 1.

6 for me, just because it is more of your typical rectangle shape and also standard size, although I don't have any "favorite" triangles.
 Bring on the randomness!
Apparently I actually exist! Or maybe it was the drink?

Cheers guys!

The theory behind this is that people should be attracted to the rectangle containing the golden ratio (1:1.618), the golden ratio is meant to be found everywhere in nature and is supposed to be subconsciously more attractive to humans that other ratios and so people use it in art, design and architecture.

The rectangle you were supposed to be attracted to was 6, and 1 was 2nd closest. The results were quite interesting, the majority of people did actually choose number 6. (some of it is complete bull though)

Gorion

Interesting.

Sounds awfully similar to the fibonacci sequence/spiral.

Wow that's a blast from the past. I seem to remember studying that for my Degree and how Classical Architecture followed aspects of that rule.... like the Parthenon for instance.... innit.

If you just want the pictures and not the words, and something a little shorter than the above, here's one of my favourite videos for showing people why maths is 'beautiful':
