If it helps anyone with working out when you'll get in, I think I registered about 5 days after the pre-order started and I'm pretty sure I was in the 4th or 5th wave of invites.

To be honest though, I don't see why they do it this way. Are they trying to please people by having short queues when they do get access? Because I'm just gonna consider this a 24 hour queue and counting for myself. Sure there would be queues if everyone had access all at once, but 2 hours queue time would be better then days of waiting with no ETA at all.

Way to face plant on the release... Just hope EA doesn't manage to mess it up even more. Xmas is the time for miracles and all!

They do it so that starting zones aren't flooded all at once and to keep the login server from being flooded and out of service( all servers were empty for an hour or two on warhammer online because the login server was down, account registration server was down for hours at release of AoC not to mention WoW and Ahn Quiraj launch). Besides this is 2 days before the maximum announced early access.
My expectations are that everyone that preordered in August will get in today maybe a few that don't.

As far as I see it there have been almost no issues except for those that are complaining about not being in the game seven days before release and 2 days before early access was supposed to start. Though how it goes doesn't really show until tommorow or the day after.

First wave of the day sent, 6th of August the last to get in it seems. I might have some hope of getting in with my 30th of september today after all.
Don't expect to play today though, more likely that I get in so late that I can't play or early tomorrow so I can play as soon as I am home from work.

This is true, but it still is kinda annoying. Starting zones are instanced though, so they won't be too crowded anyway. The login servers won't take any more load then they usually would if everyone has already done their account config, so they can just log straight in to the game and go. Sure you will have some people drop off and play other games, but you will still have heavy loads when people get home from work. If you just spread it out a bit so that the different continents got access at times relevant to them, you wouldn't have the whole world trying to log in at once. You could also say that, if you haven't set up your account info by now, you don't get in.

The thing that annoys me about it most, is that it gives some players 2 days head start economically. Well, and the fact that I've been sick for 3 days and not getting access

Right, game has arrived, productcode redeemed, payment fixed, ready for the 20th. Now i just need my early acces, sadly i redeemed dec. 1st, so gonna be a while still.
