Target marks

So during the climb to 50 I have done some group content and quickly felt the need to mark targets for one reason or another. Either for burning or CC. And now getting very close to end game I simply wonder: What meaning should each mark have? What have you been using? It would be nice to have a standard in the guild for this.

The markings (my use)
Fire (primary burn target)
Crosshair (secondary burn target)
Shield (CC 1) <- May be better used for MT mark
Lightsaber
Blaster
Bolt
Star
Cogwheel

And now back to the spectral representation of the correlation function (I really don't like fourier transforms...)

Pretty much what I've been using. If there is 1 boss with 2 adds, I have been using fire on the burn target, shield on offtank/cc target and nothing on the main boss.

You use marks on mobs, Vargen? I thought you only rushed into the groups and pulled a second group if possible.

And with the current availability of healers their sanity must preserved as much as possible. Shockcollars only help so far...
