Selecting a Day for Operations

Well as you know we are begining Operations Preparations, finding out what classes we have available and what roles they are playing (as obviously if you have leveled as DPS for some changing to another class even if it is required can be rather difficult), now whilst toby handles making a list of roles and people available I figured Id do my duty and find out what day you guys want to go for our first OP (limited to one night to begin with due to fact we dont know how hard/large content is, but will be expanded should it be needed etc).

For various social and family reasons people have (or im planning ahead for) such as nights out or seeing there children etc ive left Saturday and Friday night off the list (friday can be added back on if promted by several people).

ps: I understand and Toby understand that we do have WoW raiders and sadly due to your rather full week of two raid groups running simultaniously taking up 6 days out of the week it just isnt possible to accomodate everyone's need and it would be unfair for officers or even GM to just say "right lets have wednesday" as that would put that raiding days raid group at a disadvantage.

Thanks Vladic when the poll is completed and council have had a think too a say will be announced.

This is all prep work as I think we are a little way off and nothing is set in stone.

Council are the head admins of the the entire community.

so their input on which say will be included in which day/days we will use.

same as twisted i thought the council would be SWTOR players so we have a seperate council from other games (WoW has one etc) as SWTOR players would know what we need etc more then non players.

WoW has a council and they are the Game Leader Jas and he has admins that help him run which make up the council. The council I am talking about is the one for the whole community that take into account the other games that we run and how it will impact on them.

i would like to make a note here that Thursdays are a bad day for Swtor as most of the day is taken up with maintence so it might be a idea to bear that in mind when choosing the OP days. Because it means that you cannot log in during the day and preform last minute prep like medi packs and stims etc.

Indeed i did not consider this (thursday) thanks for the reminder, shud like to point out for community council avoiding WoW is gna be impossible completely as the only day they Dont raid is saturday (and aim sure plenty of us have better sat night plans

).

Aside from WoW there is no other set nights to my knowledge.

Vladic there are other nights that are used for other games.

Sunday = Arma 2
Monday = CoD:BO
Tuesday = Arma 2
Wednesday = Red Orchestra 2
Thursday = dMracing weekly race
Friday = BF3

We have a number of players that play in some and all of these and WoW

So whatever night we go for we our going to impact on them.

Are not Tuesday maintinece day?

Friday is really the only day I hope we can avoid, as I want to play BF3 as well as SWTOR.

If Tuesday is maintenance day, we should maybe go for Monday and Thursday, as those got the most votes?

These are only ment to help the official decision day (although will most likley have a large impact) Toby has to talk to community heads and try pick a day which wont interfere excessivly, downside being ofcourse something occurs within DMW pretty much every evening.
