My dad (NvG) has been having some issues with Counter Strike, he plays for maybe 5 minutes before getting lag spikes, freezes, sounds loops and then to BSOD and a restart. We have rolled back to previous drivers and updating it to the most recent  driver set for his card.

The graphics card is a Geforce GT 230M

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Ah apparently running CSS in windowed mode for whatever reason seems to fix it odd but don't look a gift horse in the mouth an' all.

Hi DmW dudes! Its BSOD - ing again despite windowed mode...I have a feeling its down to plugging a monitor into my laptop - just too much pixels for the old girl (toshiba satellite A500 17x) - it was failing on BF3 too with the same setup.  Gonna do some testing tonight on CSS on the Admin Abusers (BE) CSS server using the lappy screen rather than the monitor. Hope alls good in DmW lan(d) - can'tmake the next one but should be good for October - might even last the whole weekend this time if I stay off the legal highs ! ;)
