I have a couple of questions about Diablo 3 and I'm sure others have more, this thread is for answering D3 questions.

here's mine:

Username/number  how the hell do you find this info out?

Char faq's. anyone know any good sites for indepth break downs of different chars?

Grimnar

for your username just press "o" ingame to find yours out.

for sites i think you will need to ask Azunai or Drazila as they know alot about the game.

If you log into the Battle.Net site, click on 'Account' and you'll see it under 'Battletag'.

The official Diablo III forums have lots of posts where people are discussing strategy, they're worth a look: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/

diablo.incgamers.com and diablofans.com are the best fansites around. I am partial to diablo.incgamers mostly since I was a member on the original site (diabloii.net) back in 2004. http://www.diablowiki.net is the wiki from diablo.incgamers.com and is relatively well maintained else the forums on either site is the best places for information.
As has been said you can find the battletag on your account or by checking your friendslist( lower right corner after logging in). You will have to press the button Add Friend to see your battletag ingame.

A bit sloppy with the few random threads in the Gaming Development section, but I wanted to post this somewhere so here goes:

Found a great build for the Barbarian! I kept dying despite my gear being at least on par with my difficulty level, which was somewhat frustrating. So I did some research and came up with this build:

Skills:
Frenzy + Sidearm: Frenzy's insane attack speed boost means it easily beats the other two in usefulness, especially when combined with Life on Hit weapons. It lacks splash damage, so I chose the Sidearm rune, but Smite can be useful as well.
Leap + Iron Impact: The leap itself allows you to get out of a tight spot if you so wish, but the Rune makes it super useful to use whenever it's up too. +300% armor really boosts your survivability.
Ground Stomp + Wrenching Smash: I find this one almost mandatory, as the stun can give you a very big breathing space. I use the Wrenching Smash rune to drag mobs close to me, so that I can unleash...
Revenge + Provocation: This is your big damage dealer. Provocation makes it activate a hell of a lot more often, and Revenge also adds 5% health for each target you hit. Mandatory skill in any build I'd say.
Furious Charge + Dreadnaught: Another mobility skill, but it also heals you for 8% for each target you hit with it. Great way to escape or recover a lot of health when you're chased by a big pack. With this, Stomp and Leap all on short CD you have a lot of options to get out of a tight spot.
War Cry + Invigorate, or Impunity when you get it: Adds more armor, Invigorate also increases health by 10% and adds HP regen. Impunity is a real killer though, 50% to all resistances is a *lot* and means you can spend gear budget on other stuff.

The passives really make this build though:
Tough As Nails: 25% extra armor
Nerves of Steel: 100% of your vitality as Armor
Superstition: 20% reduced magic damage

A lot of survivability right there. I immediately noticed the effect, I can suddenly hold my ground against elite packs again and haven't died in a while now. Your damage may not be as high but you stay alive a lot longer, which in the end means you will win rather than end up smeared across the floor.
or Garrit, or Torgen. Also, Livestream.

To anyone: if you die on Inferno, you are doing something wrong. My eyes were running over with tears of joy and happiness when I found the ultimate guide to DIABLO 3 INFERNO:

for the barbarians, i found Kripp`s video pretty cool, as he explains why he takes the talent, and how it works with other talents and passive abilities, also how to use it in various situations, top marks that man.

Only other wizard I know playing is amber but a useful health regen glitch -

-Equip a weapon that has +life on kill  (higher the better for obv reasons)
- whichever build you have make sure hydra is in it.
- whenever you are low on health
-Spam hydra!

This I don't think will last long -and blizzard will no doubt fix soon - as the game sees each time the hydra is despawned and a new one appears as a kill - hence quick health!

Witch Doctor Advice tip here, After nightmare, if your using a minion based spec have a look at some alternatives as the champions in Hell and onwards will make mince out of your minions even an enraged gargantuan will only last 3 or 4 hits tops.

Im about an hour away from getting into hell so to speak...but yeah already notice my minions are quite squishy so going to have a play about with my setup....

As i said i am undergeared :P i spent most of my gold lvling the BS and JC so cant buy bugger all at ah....think i have 12k lol....will have to grind a few dungeons :P

I've just hit level 45 with my Witch Doctor, and so far I'm having a blast.

My current build: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#acUdgT!ZbV!baZZaZ

It's geared towards regenerating my mana as quickly as possible, as my main damage dealer is Dire Bats (which are amazing) and can be pretty mana hungry.

Soul Harvest is an incredible damage buff, Spirit Barrage is great for hitting single hard targets (elites, bosses etc) and with the Mana rune you can hammer it for some time before needing to recharge.

Spirit Walk is the 'escape' option, very useful when fighting those pesky 'waller' mobs and with the mana rune it'll almost completely recharge me for another round of Dire Bat carnage.

My Gargantuan is still tough enough to tank in Nightmare, but I may have to ditch this in favour of something else when I get to Hell mode.

If anyone else has any good Witch Doctor builds, I'd love to hear them :)

I've got the same setup now and seems to be working alot better that my minion setup. Yes, dire bats are just awesome but the mana cost is harsh :p gona switch a few runes about so I get bit more regen :)

i used this build for a long while http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#acQdUR!bcU!babZcZ

Vision Quest is a great passive for manaregen, big bad voodoo for a major DPS boost, spirit walk with either Honored Guest or Healing Journey for survivability,
Soul harvest with siphon for another HP pot, Hex with jinx for those pesky rares and elite packs.

Spiritual Attunement or Bad Medicine can be exchanged for Spirit Vessel for even more survivability.

Ive just Recently started to use Zombie charger with the zombie bears rune aswell, instead of Dire Bats, it works wonders in Hell and below, havent tested it much in Inferno yet.

If its a big pack of mobs i usually run in to them with Spirit Walk, hit soul harvest for maximum stacks and then plant my big bad voodoo and Hex a bit away from the pack, then i start hitting them with Dire Bats/Zombie Bears
i try to keep my abilities on CD due to Vision Quest

i get just over 25k DPS with that in the BBV area
