To "The Red Eclipse"!

Server Consolidation â€" High Population Servers Live as of September 18, 2012

Earlier this summer we launched the Free Character Transfer Program which offered players the option to transfer their characters from specific origin servers to selected higher population destination servers. Following the success of the Free Character Transfer Program, and after closely monitoring server populations, we have now taken the next step in our on-going server population balancing process. We have upgraded destination servers in order to support a significantly higher number of players. In addition to this, all characters on origin servers have now been automatically transferred to be consolidated onto the upgraded destination servers. By centralizing our player populations on these higher population destination servers, we feel that we can offer our players the best possible Star Warsâ,,¢: The Old Republicâ,,¢ experience.
As a result, you may find that some of your characters are now located on a different server. If your characters have been moved, you can find their new location on the server selection screen by clicking on the "Characters" column. Please be aware that no characters have been deleted as part of this process â€" all of your characters are still available to you and are ready to play!
Free Character Transfer â€" Closed

  • The Free Character Transfer Service is now closed
  • Players that have transferred their character onto a qualifying destination server by July 30th have received special in-game rewards, the Gannifari mini pet and 25 Black Hole Commendations. For more information please visit here.
  • For more information on the closed Free Character Transfer Program visit the previous FAQ.

From FAQ about guilds:

As a Guild Leader, what do I need to know to prepare for server consolidations?

There’s nothing Guild Leaders need to do in order to prepare for server consolidations, as all guild information is automatically migrated with characters during the consolidation process. This includes guild membership, guild leadership structures, guild member ranks, guild banks, guild bank contents, and vault shelf access rights.

Please note that if one or more guilds with the same name exists on the same high population destination server the guilds may find that their guild name has been changed to OriginalGuildName@OriginServer.  Leaders of guilds who have been renamed in this manner and who wish to change their guild name will have a rename button available to them through their Guild Management window. Please note that while there is no time limit on the use of this button (at this time), it can only be used once.

And servers should have been back online an hour ago, but no.

Vargen

Does this mean my characters also followed? As they are in the guild.

If you moved earlier to Nightmare lands and someone re-invited You to the guild, then Yes, otherwise, we're now on the same server, but You're unguilded.

Deminion

Should be, if you switched server last time.

from what i see in the guild window, only Gortex has an addendum to his name: "Gortex_459"

the rest is good along with guild name B-)

I'm toying with the idea of returning to SWTOR as  social player i.e. no raiding. However can someone confirm if I am still in the guild (Smilodon or Similodius) and on the correct server. I can't find a way to see the status of my character without paying the subscription first.

Cheers

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Hmm, maybe You should wait for 1.4, they usually give a week free to encourage the return of ex-players. It should be next week, according to their 6 week "content" cycle.

As for the server, all PVE Europe servers are now on one: The Red Eclipse, just send PM sometime and we'll reinvite You :)

Twyst

Now is a very good time for a recruitment drive.
As a metric, a guild wars guild I also belong to recruited hard for a few days at launch and we now have a few hundred members. The DMW guild there has maybe 6. Size isn't everything, but the quality of the main players is just as good as here. Food for thought.

Agreed lets go forward and try and get more memebers in : )
