Guys

It has been 2 and half weeks since our last OP run, which is just sucky but it has been mainly due to peoples rl coming in.

Recruiting has been very hard to do, as is everyone else. Along with that and the release of games and the timing of the break down which has not helped but is not the main reason.

One of our major problems is that we dont have enough people on all the time, on a OP night it was pretty easy and talking in the guild chat.  But we havant had the number or the people able to make the nights.  I know that this is no ones fault I my self find it hard I can only really make 2 nights a week.

So I am sure you have ideas on other issues. And I want to hear them.

Soloutions

I was talking to Tanales he suggested doing some pug which I think will be a good idea and we will be trying this Thursday maybe we can bring more people in that way.

Merging with another guild or helping out when they have space or the other way around.  This is defiently a good idea as it will help with our game members issue or at least our OP run.

Your thoughts please gents

I'll put up my ideas as to how to deal with it. Order of them is irrelevant, and there can be mixtures of them aswell.

1. Guild Merge -> posting a thread on the official forums, which now have separate server sections, so it's easier.
  • One thing we can do is find a couple of smaller guilds and merge them together, which is the hardest option.
  • Other thing is we can find a major guild with lots of active players and start negotiations as how we will be attached to them - easiest option.
I want to stress that if we are to survive as our own community, the first option is the way to go, but it can be hard to negotiate a reasonable deal and above that - find the guilds that are willing to do so. The key is to find a reasonable balance between asking other people that have their own community already set up and we have our big community here, where we coordinate our Ops, etc.

What we can do, is let's say, we'll take the easiest option and merge with a major guild - keeping our Ops signups here, and posting our raid nights on their forum and ask to fill in any spots. That may work. Question is, after a while and especially when F2P hits, we'll still be attached to that guild and wont have a separate - own - community. But on the other hand, it will work both ways, as some of the players from the other guild can be attracted to the dMw community as a whole, to play other games with us :)

2. Wait until Free to Play comes in.
  • With the influx of players in November when F2P will start, we can advertise, but as we already know it's kind of problematic, as will do any other guild.
  • This method is kind of problematic, since we can loose many more members before F2P hits.
  • There will be some F2P players that wont be able/willing to access the Ops which we're primarily focusing on.
3. Invite people on the fly.
  • This is IMHO not an option at the moment, as i myself tried to invite somebody and he immediately quit, since he saw that there was only me online.
I really love this game and wish that there will soon be a time, when we're back with 10+ active members all times. That's whats making the MMOs great :)

Please post Your thoughts.
