CS:GO Gaming Tonight?

It took me 26 tries to get on. The evening before that absolutely no luck. Also the maps don't load anymore sometimes. de_meteora keeps getting stuck on 3%, even when I've donwloaded it through the workshop....

I don't know whether the server will be affected by the upgrade to BA4, but I'm crossing my fingers that it will have sorted it and the excessively long load times for maps.

Had exactly the same thing. Kept retrying, and eventally went to the in game server browser and tried a few times there and it let me in.

As far as I know, nobody had a problem joining tonight, so it was either a 'steam thing' or the upgrade has sorted it.

Bought this last night. I had played the PS3 version briefly which was awful but the PC version is like a completely different (i.e. better) game. I love it and wish I wasn't so late to the party. I nearly joined the server last night but decided I had better work out how to play it first. I am totally rubbish even against bots.

Give me a shout and I'll walk you through some of the maps etc.
Also, have a look at some of the vids in Tips 'n' tricks.

Sorry guys but I won't be joining you on this. The game doesn't work properly with a 360 controller and I don't have any interest in playing games with a mouse and keyboard. It is a known problem for a long time. There is a work around by typing a console command each time you play but as I said in my "hello again" post, if a game doesn't work out of the box, I'm going to ditch it and move on. I have had to do the same with Planetside 2 for the same reason.

No great issue, just slowly trying to get a group of games that work with controller straight away with no hacks, workarounds or anything else.
