Sorry but i have NEVER played Museum or Trust, be it here or anywhere else.  Museum was a regular on N42 but afaik was never played this side of the river.
I'll take a look at them both today and let you know.

Come on jb dont back out just because you are so afraid of loosing. Btw the museum map isnt in my map archive but it might be a basic map so you dont need it....

JB

I explained my reasons before.

And the last thing i wanted to do was to be forced to play more just to learn these stupid new maps.  Which to be perfectly frank is the last thing i want to be doing over christmas.  A turn up and play tournament yes, otherwise i'll be thinking twice.
I've seen Trust and initially i thought why not just play dust ffs.

Admittedly de_trust has never been played here, but it *is* dust so nobody needs to learn anything bar the one extra corridor (which is soooo easy my cat could do it).  Both museum and winternuke have also been played here before.  Combined with your singularly orienteering-like knowledge of de_dust then I'm sure you'll do well.  As you say, just turn up and play.

Is de_museum in the standard map pack or do i need to dl it?
Just a suggestion DA, but why not load up CS and create a new game using de_museum?  You can also go to Baldric which should by now be running all three tourney maps.

I will be doing a bit of TCS tonight on Baldric :D

I said i've never played Museum and i've done exactly that, NEVER played it.  I'll play Sunday but screw it if i'm spending the next 48 hours playing Museum.

If im perfectly honest i think your choice of maps is poor.  I long to see a map created today where the creator doesn't feel the need to populate every square metre with 3 boxes, a container or half a dozen items that need jumping over just to get past.  Dust and Aztec are the most widely played maps purely because they're simple maps, easy to learn and combine both open spaces and tight situations perfectly.  Maps like Museum and Trust are poor because of their cramped over populated areas and the constant battle to move from 1 room to the next slowing down the flow of the game.  Give me 48 hours of a good map over 30 seconds of Museum anyday.

JB out (in actually, but not arsed)

You could always connect to Baldric and download the maps from the server as the come up in the rotation.

I chose de_trust because it is *not* de_dust, but still totally simple and will enable quick matchplay with slightly more than the usual dust mincer engagement.  de_winternuke also delivers fast action but this time with the possibility for a little more thought in your attacks.  de_museum is a map we do not usually play, but it is a simple map with lots of ways of attacking - the dilemma for teams on this map will be that they will find it quite easy to slowly advance and plant the bomb due to the choice of routes and sniping potential, but they will lose time if they do it at this pace.  So will you rush the sites and have more difficulty planting and defending the bomb, or take more time but secure the points?  All of these maps will handle the 5 man teams we will be fielding without the maps feeling too big.

I'm sorry if you don't rate the choice of maps, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.  The proof of the pudding will be if the tourney goes well and people enjoy themselves  - that will be good enough for me.
