Quote from: no peanuts;386815I'd really appreciate a lift again this year if at all possible. I'm booked in from Thursday-Sunday.
I won't have much gear to transport just a travel backpack and small bag for my laptop. I can easily get to London Heathrow.  I'll let the international arrivals sort out their transport first and will try and tag along with someone if there are still spaces available :)
Can you try to make it to Heathrow Terminal 2 for say 9.45am on the Thursday please?   We'll pick you up along with the internationals from there.

Hi Folks,

Slight Change. I've got a Rugby fixture on the Sunday in Salisbury so I need to get there as soon as I can. I'll get up and take Varg to the airport in the morning. TwoBad - You're on your own (I think you were initially driving up yourself anyway)..

I might not get a hire car this year if there are any lifts that make sense with the below...?

On Thursday I'd be coming from work which is in Hatfield, AL10 9NE. I can get slow trains from there towards Cambridge and Peterborough.

On Sunday I need to get back to near kings cross in London, so unless anyone is already heading to central-ish London(?) any main line station with fast direct London links would be great as March trains on Sunday are poor. Cambridge, Hatfield and Luton airport parkway are all pretty good options for me.

Thanks :-)

I'm heading up from Watford on Thursday morning, probably quite early as She Who Must Be Obeyed is heading off to work about 6.30am. Can pick people up if needed but would be early.

Suicidal -  Sunday isn't a problem so I could run you back down to London. PM'd you anyway.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Let's have a chat as we're all down in Watford (en route to Heathrow) at about the same time.  Might be able to switch some of ours to you or just convoy.

Hal, if someone else doesn't jump in then I'll pop over from the hotel on Friday morning and pick you up from the airport.

Sunday return would be great, thanks!

Anyone going near Hatfield on Thursday around 4pm? ...or near any train station on the Hatfield and Cambridge/Peterborough lines sometime around 5? ...or who i can ring on the evening who might be sober enough to pop up to March station around 6? :-)

That would be very nice but you shouldn't have to do that I don't really mind taking the train to March it only takes about 1 hour
Maybe there\'s something to be said for being different. We are who we are. What more could we ask for?

Excuse the late reply. I posted in the other LAN thread that I wont be attending after all. :(

Yep! Of course if someone happens to drive by Stansted I wouldn't mind a pick-up or if by some minor chance someone is still sober around 13-14 a short pick-up from the train station in March would be very nice :)

Thanks Hal.

I'll pick you up from March station on the Friday (and drop you back to the airport on Sunday). I'll pm you my mobile number if you don't still have it ?

Just checked my phone and unless you changed number I still got it, thanks Pen :)
