After chatting to Dex last night I was curious to see what mouse and settings different people use.

Personally I use a Steelseries Rival set at 600dpi and 2.8 in game sensitivity.

Dex was using something crazy high in comparison as around 8200dpi and 1.3 in game sensitivity.

What does everyone else use?

i think i have my razor deathadder at 1200dpi and i use 1.0 in game, windows acceleration off of course.

got me wondering about my settings, read this post:

some good arguments for going lower dpi and higher in game sensitivity, so i may try changing to 600dpi with 2.0 in game...but man alive Dex 8200dpi and 1.3 in game i have no idea how you do so well :)

Yeah reading through different guides is how I set mine up. This guide I found especially useful with all aspects of setting up CS:GO and recommend it to anyone that hasn't read it already:

I like to switch things up when i get bored, I unfortunately also have an unhealthy mouse addiction. Currently own g400, rival, deathadder, ms 3.0, sensei. I've been playing 1.3 sens with 400dpi 6/11 windows for a couple of years which is mega low, but i enjoy it. I used 2 sensitivity before that and switch to it now and then. Oh and I only use the rival and g400 these days. My favourite mouse ever is the ime 3.0 but it malfunctions at low sens... also the left click is broken so I have to play knife only! Edit : qck heavy mousepad. wouldn't be able to play without it.

Dr Sadako where are you?

Actually Sadako used a track ball for FPS games so his sensitivity was at the absolute Max in windows and in game. I recall him being the last man standing on eco in CS 1.6 and attaching his silencer to the gun. Very funny indeed. He won the round as CT in a defence map.

Dr Sadako

You are quite right. Sensitivity to max both in game and in my thumb setting. ;) I actually still use the trackball both at home and at work.

just shows most things can work, just what you get used to i guess.  I forgot windows setting, yeah i'm at 6/11 in windows too.

Here's an example of some of the pro players settings.

I've now lowered mine massively; prior to last night's game I had an in game sensitivity of 1.6 (which I found out was actually one of the worst for me from what I can tell), now though I have changed it to 1 (though I sometimes switch between 1 and 1.2.

I use 500 dpi and 1.5 in game, I think is totally personal preference if u have a big mouse pad u can lover ur sensitivity to be more accurate, and I know dpi has something to do with ur resolution too
