I came across a bit harsh, apologies.

I used a Saitek x48 throttle and joystick before I went back to the mouse. In ED it worked seamlessly out of the box and was a joy to use. In SC it was, and still is, a complete nightmare. I have managed to get it running from time to time, but as soon as SC was patched everything would break and I'd be back to square one. The difference is that I paid Frontier Development good money for what they advertised as a finished game, so I'd expect it to work as advertised, which it did. I gave Cloud Imperium money to back a game that didn't even exist and all I got was a picture of the ship I had bought and a sexy looking advertisement for it. I have different expectations for two very different investments.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

The whole sensitivity thing is something CIG need to solve and is the primary reason for landing incidents (for me anyway) but there are adjustment settings in the setup to help. The only problem is the sensitivity adjusts analogue controls and has no effect on digital.which most people use for their vertical thrusters. All the other controls work fine with a lot of patience and persistence. I stress a lot but its worth the effort.

Not at all. If you feel that way I can understand the need to vent. You shouldn't apologise for how you feel. Its been a long time coming. SC is slipping its schedule left and right.

I thought that some of you would find this reply from CIG's lawyer (who also happens to be one of the founders of CIG!) to Derek Smart's lawyer, very amusing...

Whilst I agree with the content, it seems very unlikely that is actually a real letter from Ortwin Freyermuth as apart from the spelling mistakes it would mean that the letter would have been released by Cooper, which doesn't seem logical.  Maybe it's too early int he morning for me, I'll go get some coffee and come back later!

I couldn't see any spelling mistakes myself, unless you're referring to the use of "check" instead of "cheque", but that's just American.

The letter would not have been released officially by CIG, but they know that the fans are still speculating as to what is happening with the DS saga - some are even scaremongering that DS could take CIG down or at least take significant funds away from develpment - so it wouldn't surprise me if the letter was "leaked" knowing it would find its way to the community and perhaps assuage some fears.

I think it's genuine myself, and I'm keen to see what DS does next.

TeaLeaf

Vain instead of vein was what I was referring to.  The headed paper looks iffy too.

I can remember the whole Battlecruiser 3000AD thing - he promised everything but delivered a broken, buggy mess in the days before 3Gb day one patches so whenever he calls out someone else professionally, its hard to take him seriously.

I recently came across a copy of Battlecruiser 3000AD that I'd bought from a car boot sale ages ago. Think I'll go burn it. My contribution to the world.

I had that game.  I totally bought into the idea of it, but could never get it running.  I appreciated the attempt though.

A better man than DS could have really done things with the concept.

kregoron

I kindly asked him what merit he had, to be that critical about Star  Citizen. When his own releases was so dubious and filled with flaws...  when you actually got the games to run...

He banned me...

What did you expect.  The guy is a troll, and even looks the part to be honest.
