Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Thx I was doing some research, they say it can have some benefits for gamers I am just worried about my drivers and stuff

I thin k unlike previous versions of Windows this one has been out there as a preview for quite a while. I think most people expect it to work pretty well out of the box. I'm sure the'll be something that doesn't go quite right, it's always the way. Which is wht I'm going to hold on for a while before I jump over.

Yeah true, but u got an option to restore everything, so if u dont like it u can go back to ur original win

My desktop is a business machine that I need access to daily and is crucial for my work. So I need to be a bit careful about making big changes. I could wipe and reinstall everything if the Windows restore failed but it would knock me out for a day while I got my OS, applications and data all sorted. I'd rather leave it the more adventurous to install on 29th and see how they get on.

I've also got this thing about fresh installs rather than big upgrades. It's silly and a throwback to the days of Windows 98, ME, XP and Vista.

It is, but for those of us with older machines and a few years of install/uninstalls on them we tended to use it as a spring clean as well.

Same place as we always mate,  it will be opened to non supporting memebers in a week or so!

Hmm we may never hear from him again!
Always wait for the first service pack before installing a new version of Windows.
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

My nvidia problems seem to have just magically disappeared. I can only assume that windows has silently installed another automatic update.
